Hi guys!

My mom and I can't decide between eating dinner at Il Mulino, Bluezoo, Flying Fish or Via Napoli one night of our trip. All restaurants will be equally convenient to get to since we plan to head to the Studios from Epcot after dinner that evening, so where is food quality/ambiance the best?

Our other dinners are definitely going to be 'Ohana, Boma and Cali Grill, so we can only do one of these! Is one restaurant in particular a much different experience from the other three restaurants we are dining at?

Thoughts? :confused3

I would cross off Via Napoli immediately. It is part of a chain based in California.

FF is quite good.
bluezoo is controlled by celebrity chef Todd English
il Mulino is the only branch of a very high quality New York City Italian Restaurant.

I've eaten at all of them.

I agree with Chesire, scratch Via Napoli from the list.

Flying Fish is good but Il Mulino is so much better if you want fish. Not just the food but the service and overall adult amosphere is a much nicer treat and more upscale for dinner than the noisy open kitchen, family dining Flying Fish. I would not recommend bluezoo to anyone who doesn't love fish because the non fish menu is very limited.

Il Mulino is one of the few places we pick for a romantic dinner but I've also dined here with friends. The menu is quite extensive and all of the dishes I have had here have been good. The service is very very good.

Why does everyone hate Via Napoli so much? It is by far one of my favorite restaurants on property. Having been to Italy, I can say that the food there is far more authentic-tasting than Tutto Italia.

1) Yes, and fast, fast, fast.
2) Take Il Mulino.
3) Then, Blue zoo

NOTE: This is only one of five sit-down eateries we patronize at WDW. The
service is always exquisite and the food very-good-to-excellent. I want to feel
important at a fine dinner, and IL Mulino does this to their patrons. We felt the
price-to-food/service ratio to be of excellent value. We had two servers who
kept our glasses full and our needs always met. It is good to be pampered.

NOTE: Todd English's Blue Zoo has an excellent
reputation. The food quality at WDW is in line with
his other eateries. However, I think the price is slightly
high for the value received, yielding a "C" instead of
a "B" for value. Additionally, for $35 fish and $42 beef,
I expect superb service, and the service was not up to
that standard.

I just canceled Via Napoli and made a ressie at Il Mulino. We love Italian, so it sounds great... plus, it will be fun to make a visit to the Swan. We will have to try Bluezoo on a future trip since that sounds great too!

Thanks for the advice!

Actually, this isn't the only "branch" of Il Mulino. There is one in Long Island, San Juan, Atlantic City, Tokyo, Aspen and Houston!

The Il Mulino in Orlando is actually considered one of their trattatorias. If i remember correctly, i thought they basically paid to use the name.

I've eaten in the NY one a few times and the one at The Ritz Carlton in San Juan 3 years in a row and they blow Orlando out of the water. They aren't even close!

We ate once at the one at Disney and were quite disappointed because it wasn't anything like the other two.

Of all of those, I would go with Blue Zoo, then FF.
Forget Il Mulino . :sad2:
No Bueno,

I haven't been to Il Mulino.

I would eliminate VN from the list because you can't compare it with the other three. I think it was great, but it's a casual restaurant while the other three are signature experiences.

I think Flying Fish and bluezoo are equally great. If you like hustle and bustle à la Cali Grill, go with Flying Fish.

But for a more relaxing ambiance, go with bluezoo. It's a lot less crowded and crazy since they don't take the DDP.

Why does everyone hate Via Napoli so much? It is by far one of my favorite restaurants on property. Having been to Italy, I can say that the food there is far more authentic-tasting than Tutto Italia.

I like VN quite a lot, but as I mentioned....you can't really compare it to the signatures.
