Il Mulino ADR hard to get?

Our 180 mark isn't until late August but we are trying to prioritize which restaurants we want to get ADRs first. Should Il Mulino be at the top of our list?

Other ADRs we want to do are:
Chef Mickey or Ohana - we're not sure which one but might try to get ADRs for both and eliminate one closer to trip date.
Trail's End Restaurant - which shouldn't be hard to get.
BOG - for dessert only. If we don't get this one we won't mind.
SciFi Dine In Theater - again, if we don't get this one we won't mind.

Don't bother even making your Il Mulino reservation at your 180-day mark. In fact, don't make that reservation on Disney's website at all. Like many of the restaurants not owned by Disney, you can book Il Mulino on OpenTable, which typically has plenty of availability. There are lots of tables available at prime times for tonight, in fact.

And as an added bonus, OpenTable doesn't charge the cancelation or no-show fee.

Il Mulino shouldn't be too tough to get. We've never had any issues. Further, they take Open Table reservations which can free you from the 24-hour cancellation payment policy through Disney. We've made reservations both ways, and we've always been able to get a table there pretty much at the times we wanted. I'd put Ohana at the top of the list as that's the toughest to get, it appears. CM can be hard depending on the particular day and time you wish to go. TE is easy. Sci-Fi isn't too hard, usually. Never tried BOG for dessert only.

Book Il Mulino through Open table-there is usually availability but there have been times that it actually has booked up if there's a conference, etc going on (all depends when you're going) especially if you're looking at a specific day and time. You can cancel your Open table reservation the same day and will not be charged for it (no deposit etc) necessary - we always book Disney Springs and S/D reservations (that have it available) that way if we can, much more flexibility.

Trails End - an easy ADR to get - best way is by boat from MK, from CR or even WL-- if you take a bus to FW from another park you will be dropped at the OUTPOST, you will then need to take an internal bus to the SETTLEMENT. (we like to go to Trails End before or after the Sing Along campfire with Chip n Dale).

We're booked at Wilderness Lodge right now. Is it a long walk between WL to FW's Settlement? Thanks!

It's just under a mile one way, but it's a very pleasant walk and has some shade trees along the route. It's a good way to walk off a few calories after the meal.

I have to LOVE this great advice.... The reason there is a problem is the WDW booking system - Il Mulino is not "full" 180 days out. Once again, the WDW system is not catching up with reality.

ANY non Disney owned Restaurant has another booking method. MOST are on Open Table. You may also contact the Restaurant DIRECTLY, unlike a "Disney owned" Restaurant.

I've gotten same day reservations (or walk-ups) at every Swan/Dolphin restaurant. As others have said, use opentable or simply call the restaurant directly.
