II trade - upgrade to 2 bedroom?

I traded a 2 bedroom unit to get this one. I just called Interval and they are going to let me do an additional 'trade' if a larger unit comes available. They did have a studio available at BCV the same week as us, but we dont have another week to trade for it I called DVC to try to reserve it but since I am not a member I cant do it that way.

I will keep trying - worst case scenario (which is still pretty awesome), we'll keep the 1 bedroom and become a very close family! My boys will no way be able to sleep together in one bed btw - they are 14 and 15 and at each other 23 hours a day! My daughter is 17 and I am sure she wouldnt want to sleep with either one of them! So it'll be 2 aerobeds for us.

You will have to pay another exchange fee. And if you've already paid the $95 DVC fee you MAY have to pay that again as well. This is called a retrade and can only be done when converting a present trade to a new one.

Remember any occupancy flexibility does not necessarily apply to II trades. According to the II-DVC exchange guide, the maximum occupancy of the 1 BR is 4. You might want to get a second trade for a studio and attempt to have them put together. Chances of getting a 2 BR sitting there when you call are essentially none.

We have stayed at OKW three times with three daughters. It was never an issue getting five cards for our family of five staying in a one bedroom unit. At OKW the nice thing with young children is that there are two sofas in the family room area, giving you an instant third sleeping space. In most other resorts I believe there is only one sofa and a chair. Our youngest slept comfortably on the sofa next to her two sisters on the pull-out sofa. With older children there is an enormous amount of floor space for aero beds. We have often thought of staying elsewhere, but I think I am too spoiled with all the space at OKW to be happy elsewhere.
