II trade into DVC: How to contact member services?

We are booked at SSR for December 2008. I would like to contact Member Services, but my itinerary from II only gives SSR's phone number. They said they won't have my info until a couple days or so before check-in. How/whom do I submit requests for specific areas and arrange for DME?

If you look at the second page of your confirmation, there will be a paragraph that includes both the 407 and 800 numbers for Member Services. You will need the Disney reservation number, which is on the upper right hand side of the first page.

Then you are doing something wrong or have anyother problem. DVC is fairly easy to trade into if you plan 11 months out, can travel other than Xmas, Easter, middle summer and can do a 1 BR or less. A 2 BR and middle of summer is also possible in some cases but less likely. If these issues aren't getting you then you have a trade power or resort quality issue that is preventing you getting your trade even if II has it sitting there. IF you'll post the specifics including resort, week, unit size, how far out you deposit, how far ahead you request, unit size you need and when you can go; we can likely narrow this down for you and possible give you suggestions how to be successful.

I used to think the same thing (about DVC being impossible to trade into from II). Our family has tried numerous times with no luck (and we have good trading units). Then this year, I gave it a shot and got in. 2BR in mid-August. I booked it back in Februrary, so what, six months out? So, it is possible. Granted it is a lower season, and during the hottest month of the year in Florida, but we're still really really excited.
