Anyone ever done an II exchange to any place in Mexico? We're thinking ahead to 2008 and thought it would be fun to go to Mexico. We're away right now and I can't get my hands on any DVC paperwork (all at home) and I can't remember my DVC username/password for the website (saved on my computer at home). Does anyone know where we might try for in Mexico?

Thanks!

The Royals in Cancun are rather nice. I stayed at the Royal Islander last New Year's. It's an all-inclusive, and the room set-up is similar to that of a DVC room (but no en-suite jacuzzi). There's a bus stop outside each of the Royals that takes you to downtown Cancun, but there's plenty to do at the hotels. They were some of the only hotels left intact following Wilma (I went mere months after the area got clobbered), so they seem to be pretty hurricane-proof.

I can't speak much for Cabo which many like but I'd say Paradise Village near Puerto Vallarta and the Royals in Cancun would be your best bets and I'd highly recommend them all as on par overall with DVC. Cancun is a nice way to get to see some of MX without giving up many of what you may be accustomed to at home though it's not as much old world MX as some of the other choices.
