NEW YORK (Reuters) - USA Interactive Inc. USAI.O , the slimmed down successor to USA Networks, said on Friday it plans to buy travel services company Interval International for about $578 million to help build its online travel packages business.
USA Interactive said Miami-based Interval, which derives sales from fees paid by consumers and resort developers for vacation timeshares and other travel related services, will add to USA's earnings in 2003.
