Can someoen help? When I went for brekkie one morning at IHOP about 3 weeks ago, I had a french toast which was stuffed with a sweet cream chesse filling and covered in blueberries. It was scrummy. But I dont know how they did it, what kind of cheese it was (if we can even get it here), etc. Can anyone help? I'd love to create this myself now Im back home *sob*
I can taste it now...yummmmmmmm!

It may have just been sweetened cream cheese. (Blend it in a mixer with some sugar).

There is also a soft cheese called Marscapone (they use it in tiramisu) and it could have been that.

Good Luck!!!!

i think it's the same filling they use for their cheese blintz's which is:

1 cup cottage cheese
1 cup soft soft farmers cheese or saftened cream cheese
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla

blend, heat 1-2 minutes in microwave.

i also have the recipie for their actual french toast -if you want it.

Certainly sounds scrumdilioucious. Thanks so much for recipe. Maybe for dinny tonite we will have brekkie. who knew. :grouphug:

Hey I love the lingo my UK and Ozzie friends have....brekkie is just one of their many fun slang words. Not at all baby talk, just a fun and different everyday language is all.

Well I'm out of here. I think I'll go have a cuppa this arvo with a cobber or two of mine. (not a drongo in the bunch, mind you!) :earboy2:

I was a bit confused also. I did figure out she was talking about breakfast!!

And my dh uses "scrummy" when he is talking about something that should be yummy but is really yucky so.....it took a few minutes to translate the meaning myself!!

First, a hello to the folks from the UK and other DISers from outside the US.

www.ihop.com has a picture of what might be what you had on their home page, and it looks very close to the recipe aprild linked to.

Be very careful....UK slang.....addictive....my DM now uses the loo!

I will admit....I sometimes have to ask for an American/English translation!

I apologise. I didnt think about english slang being confusing. If it helps, I picked up some american slang too while I was there. Anyway thanks to those who helped me out. The pic on the IHOP website was the one I was talking about. I will try the recipes a couple of you have passed on.
Thanks again.
