Alphamom, so glad your husband is okay. I drive to work in the morning half asleep so I can imagine that was quite the wake up call.

PK, my first tornado experience in Missouri, I crouched under my dining room table with dog, baby, flashlight, portable radio. My ex-husband came in and told me I was an idiot, you get under tables for an earthquake. Duh!!!!

Kerrie, I'm so glad your DH is okay. That such a frightening thing to happen. Guess that 4 wheeling/jeeping has more than one practical use. Hopefully insurance will cover the repairs and you won't be out too much money.

Wick I'm glad you're safe as well and there haven't been any tornadoes that either of you need to worry about.

Pakey, it's funny how you just do things without thinking. I'm yelling "get under the desk" and my co-worker's saying "it's only the elevator". I said "yeah, when was the last time you could hear the elevator, it's 1/2 a block away". That got her under the desk. Again, I don't know why I went under the desk, but it sounded like all hell was breaking lose and I was happy in my little footweld under my desk. Still don't know how I managed to get under there and turn around. I'll have to watch my Lab under my computer desk at home during the next thunderstorm. I'm sure I looked something like that.

Hi Snap! Haven't seen you here much lately. Hope all is well and you're feeling okay.

We had a very nice weekend. My nephew and his wife had a big bbq for two of their kids who turn 11 and 4 this month. He has 21 acres upstate and we had a blast on his 4-wheeler and the go cart he got his son. Then at the end of the night he did a fireworks display to rival Disney!!

Now I'm resting up to enjoy the nice cool weekend we are expecting

He was so professional, everything was attached to boards, away from the house, very safely done. I was impressed also! We all thought he was crazy when he moved up there, but his property is beautiful, right on the river.

That's right. Except Scotlass is going on a family vacation while I'm going on a wild week with a girlfriend vacation.

My husband is going on a golf vacation the week before I go. He couldn't stand that I was going on vacation without him so he had to come up with his own. What a jealous baby.
