Thanks for the offer GP!

I will be getting an external hard drive. I really haven't lost anything, since I still have my old computer with the ITunes on it, it's just that it has to be transferred again. Dell guy is coming this afternoon to install the new hard drive and assured me it isn't anything I did. I'll call the other people this afternoon to see if they're going to charge me again for the data transfer/sectioning.

Kerrie, I'm sorry pregnancy is taking its toll already. And I really wish I could come help you when Baby 6 is born. Stinks that your DH is still having issues with his hand. I'll say a little prayer that he's able to hold out (painfree) until March.

Missing all my Ignorami while my computer is down. And I've actually been busy in work, which is great, but it doesn't leave much time for me to play. :sad2:

The new baby bedspread arrived today, care of the in laws. DS took the box immediately and started to decorate it. First it was a pirate ship, then a present for me (had to be careful when I opened it, a foot came out first), then jail, then a submarine. Then he turned it over and repeatedly stabbed it with pencils. He did it with a ferocity that I wasn't expecting. I'm now slightly afraid.

Breach birth! :rotfl:

Maybe it's time to get "C" into karate or something to give him an outlet. ;)

After all that, he managed to break a plate cutting his food with a butter knife. He said he was so hungry he was going to eat the plate, too. And, has since been flipping onto the couch to land on it upside down. He's turning into quite the wild child.

Pk, sorry about your computer. Check this out

Dell ships malware-infected server motherboards

By Matthew DeCarlo, TechSpot.com
Published: July 22, 2010, 3:32 PM EST

According to posts on the Dell community forum, the system builder has accidentally shipped a "small number" of motherboards with malware-infected system management firmware. Affected units are limited to replacement motherboards for the PowerEdge R410, R510 and T410 distributed by the company's service dispatches, while those coming straight from the factory aren't tainted.

Dell says the maximum potential exposure is less than 1% of the above-stated server models, and the company has removed all infected boards from its service supply. If you happen to be in that fraction of a percent, Dell says only Windows machines are at risk and all industry-standard antivirus applications have the ability to identify and protect you from the malicious code.

Additionally, systems with the iDRAC Express or iDRAC Enterprise card installed are safe, while the remaining computers can only be exposed by updating Unified Server Configurator (USC) or 32-bit Diagnostics. While the impact of this blunder appears to be trivial, it's just another blemish on Dell's reputation which some are questioning after recently-leaked documents revealed the company knowingly sold faulty computers.

yeah, I know I read weird stuff

Afternoon all. My dell is working just fine. If it crashed I'd have a reason not to work so I know that's not ever going to happen.

Kerrie, sounds like a bit of the B is rubbing off on C. I can offer no advice, I can't even get a little 10 lb dog to behave.

I'm 59 days from my WDW vacation and boy do I feel like I need it. I'm hoping one of C1Mom's hunks is floating at StormAlongBay in the tube next to mine and I swear, I'll just stay there forever.

I'm kinda glad he's getting a little wild. He's always been too good.

Oh, and I'm ignoring your upcoming trip, Pakey. :snooty: We won't be returning to the world for another 2 years. :sad1:

...can't seem to find the time or energy to get on the DIS this week - I am in a teacher's workshop at WPU that runs from 8AM to 4:30PM Mon-Fri last week AND this week....I am EXHAUSTED!

That rum looks too pricey for GP.

So Kimmar, are you preparing a trip report? (If I recall correctly, you never finished one from a few years ago.) If not, will you be sharing details of your vacation with us? Did you bring back an bahookie pics?

...* sigh *...hoo-boy, strange weekend....my DS broke his collarbone on Saturday, so I had to wait to 9AM this morning to call the pediatric ortho dr. to make an appointment for him, to see if it has to be 'set'....his appt is at 12:15 today, but with a different doctor - the one recommended by the hospital:

1) doesn't treat clavicle fractures
2) isn't an pediatric orthopedic doctor

 OUCH!!!

I hope he heals quickly. Poor boy...

Wow Kimmar that stinks. :scared1: Hope whatever the treatment, it's quick and as painless as possible. Sending prayers and pixie dust.

Aww, kimmar. I'm sorry -- hope it heals quickly.

Wish I could ignore that ...

Not much chance of that. ;) How are you feeling today?
