We've eaten dinner 3 times at Boma. Loved it everytime. I thought I wouldn't because I'm a picky eater but their food is delicious. They do use some different spices that not everyone likes, but I loved it. Boma is always a must do for us.

We thought it was very good. I prefer Jiko to Boma, but Boma is still very good.

Honestly, we were kind of disappointed. After all the rave reviews, we expected to love Boma and while the food was okay, we probably won't go back. We had a great, personable server, but the food didn't seem as fresh as it could have been, and we actually ended up eating off of the kids buffet... and we are NOT picky eaters.:confused3 The atmosphere was quite crowded and noisy as well.

I know Boma is a favourite of the DIS, but for us, we will look for other places to dine. There is something for everyone at WDW, and I guess Boma just wasn't for us.

We did LOVE the peanut rice and bread pudding, so if I were to go back, I would probably make a meal out of those two dishes.

We just ate there on Wednesday night! It was amazing! One of the only 2 meals we liked our entire trip. The soups alone are worth going for! Definitely a must try!

I'd suggest Jiko for your group! We won't go back to Boma with Jiko straight across the way.

We weren't huge fans, but my parents love it and go at least 2 times per trip! One thing that is for certain is the restaurant itself is beautiful! :simba:

My whole family enjoyed it, but my ds and I LOVED it. He asked me if we could go back this year, but we are trying Biergarten instead. I loved the lentil and sausage soup, the couscous merrakesh (sp?), and the ribs. I also really enjoyed the mango tarts. My dh said the ribs were his favorite also, but he also liked the lentil sausage soup. Ds probably ate four salad plates full of all kinds of fruit.

We will definitely go back on our next trip.

I thought there were great choices for just about anyone. We will be back again someday.

We've eaten there a few times and my fiance loves it! Then again, he loves most buffets... :goodvibes

The food there is good but I am not too adventurous as far as African food is concerned, so there are only a few items I eat there but my fiance loves just about everything they offer.

As another poster said, Jiko is a great restaurant. We'll be dining there again this trip.

We really enjoyed Boma and the variety of dishes. It was a beautiful restaurant, but crowded. Service was good, but hurried. We will go back someday, probably not our next trip, though, as we are hoping to try all new places. I would definitely recommend it! :thumbsup2

I voted "Food was pretty Good, but one-time-only kind of place" because while we did enjoy our dinner (and breakfast) there, we'd only return if we were staying at AKL again. I wouldn't make a special trip to dine at Boma; but we would (and have already!) made a special trip to dine at Jiko. :)

Boma was good; but just not good enough to make a special trip there. I would DEFINITELY have dinner there again if I was staying at AKL. :)

I wasn't a fan. The food was OK, but nothing to write home about.

Jiko, which is right across the hall, is fabulous though.

I also don't like zebra domes; oh the horror.

I love, love, love their soups. The food was "meh" for me, though. DH thought it was okay as well.

I've heard you can get their soups from the Mara...so I'd trek over there before eating at Boma again.

I pretty much agree with every word that SeaSpray wrote above. Although even if we stayed there again, I don't know that we would do dinner there again, possibly (definately would at Jiko). We loved the breakfast and had that about 8 times on our last trip.
