If you're curious about distance from your hotel to DLR....

You can use google maps, punch in the address or the name of the hotel, and when the hotel appears on the map, you can select the "street view"... which will give you a "live view". You can then move up and down the street by double clicking, check out the area, see where there are restaurants, etc.

I found this very helpful, as I was able to check out the hotels along the Harbour blvd and see some good breakfast places (Danny's, IHOP...)
