someone you know really well, do you feel instantly more comfortable with them ?

I do, Ii mean its automatic, this one guy who looked like my dad when he was young, just automatically I was comfortable with him. I do this all the time, Very shallow but I just lower my defense if you look like someone I know

I think that is a natural response. Familiarity is comforting.

Conversely, if the person looks like someone you know well but didn’t particularly care for, then you might instead have a bias against this person. And it could stretch beyond looks too, something about the way this person acts or conducts themselves might remind you of someone else, and they get bonus points, or the baggage, from that association.

To be honest, I can’t think of anyone who resembles another person I know, if I’m understanding this thread correctly.
