If your pro Team

The Bills make me want to shout, kick my heels up and shout, throw my head back and shout. C'mon now. The Bills are making it happen now, Stand up now c'mon and shout. Yeah yeah yeah. Let's go Buffalo.....

Does that answer your question? I got distracted.

LOL! You forgot the hey ay ay ay's.

My family's been Texans season ticket holders since the very first game. Huge fan, even when they were terrible. But it sure feels good to be rooting for one of the best teams in the NFL for once!

I have been a Saints fan since the mid 80's...so I've had my share of bad years, but except for a few years in college when I didn't have time to watch TV, I'd say I'm a true fan

Yes! I might be upset sometimes but I love my Colts when they win or lose. :)

I am and always will be a diehard Buffalo fan. Bills and Sabres (even though there is offically an NHL lockout). Hey at least the Bills won today!!!

LETS GO BUFFALO!

I'm a Detroiter, I have a lifetime of experience cheering for lousy teams... The Wings in the 80s, the Tigers in the 90s, the Lions... well, forever. I'm still a fan of my hometown teams. Years of watching them lose makes it all the sweeter when they win.

Same here. Always a Detroit fan through the good and the many, many years of bad. Right now I am watching the Lions die on national TV. Such is the life of a Lion fan.

Washington Redskins/Houston Texans - I'm not as big a football fan as I was at one time but I still keep up with and cheer for these teams

Texas Rangers - I try to follow them too and even occasionally watch them

Houston Astros - this one is tougher but I've been a fan since I was a kid and try to keep on being a fan. It has been difficult at times.

It is too easy to root for the teams that win all the time. It takes really passion and heart to be there when your team is crappy (even if it is year after year after year...)

I'm not into sports, so I hope you all will humor me as I ask this question. Please note that I'm not being critical of your fan choices, I am truly curious.

What do you get out of being a fan of a team that doesn't win (year after year after year)?

I don't like football so I don't watch it, but the games are on in my house for DH (I'll probably be kicked out of my house for saying it though, lol).

We love hockey and owned partial season tickets before it was "cool" and before the Pens were good (I.e. BC- Before Crosby, lol). PB went to her first game when she was a couple weeks old.

We went to our first Buccos game in 6 years a couple weeks ago... Because the tickets were free from the kids' school :o Baseball is sooooo boring. At least we scored a home run that game so we got to see the fireworks go off at PNC Park!

Here is why I love the Browns:

1. I am a sucker for the underdog. :cheer2:
2. Nothing beats the energy and bonding that takes place between fans in the Muni Lot the 7 hours prior to kickoff. It is almost impossible to describe. Besides, what happens in the Muni Lot, stays in the Muni Lot.
3. I just happen to enjoy football over the other professional sports.
4. I was born and raised in northeast Ohio. I just couldn't imagine rooting against my home team in favor of another team.
5. Makes you really appreciate the win.:cool1:
6. Really enjoy spending Sunday afternoon with the girls screaming at the TV, jumping up and down and drinking a few beers while watching a good football game.
7. We aren't always the crappy team. We are just in a rut!

For the last 20 years? ;)

I'm sorry not nice but I couldn't resist. We've been to some great Steelers-Browns games in Cleveland. The fans are always gracious and always fun to be around.

I always tell DH, a true football fan is a Browns fan. No lie.

I can tell you are a very smart person for a Steelers fan! :)
You can't count three years in the 90s when we had no team. We actually had a winning record in '94 ,2002 and 2007. Boy, I just got really depressed putting that in writing.

I do love when the Steelers come to Cleveland. Even we you guys are kicking our butts, it is a great time. It is a great "rivalry" if you want to even call it that anymore!!!

SF Giants - Yep, all the time, I love my team!
49ers - Not so much. I grew up in a household with half niner fans, the other half Raiders. They confused me, so now I'm not a big enough fan to stick with them in really hard times. :rotfl:

I was at my cousin's wedding this weekend. When this shout song came on, the bride put on a bills jersey right over her dress (with her new last name on the back--her wedding present from her new husband) and every last person was on the dance floor dancing, shouting, and aye aye aye ayeing. She came up to me right after the song ended and said, "that was the most magical thing ever. Wasn't that so magical?!" And it was. So yes, we're fans, and anyone who is a football fan knows that that's through years and years of ugly.
