If your dog chews apart his toys...

My dog, a 2 yr old German Shepherd, is VERY destructive with his toys. We've been through a slew of them, and I wondered if there was any that would hold up to his chewing. I may have found one! One of the kids dug this Discovery Toys ball out of a box of old toys of theirs and gave it to him...I thought it would be gone in no time at all, but it's been around for a couple of weeks with no sign of any damage! And he loves it!

Great toy for a dog.......our little dog used to just suck on things so I guess we were lucky.

My dog doesn't pay with his toys, it's a game of 'how fast can I get the squeaker outta this, so I can eat it, and the rest of the toy'. LOL

My dog used to eat her toys, and furniture and shoes We give her the smoked bones and she just eats those now.

That ball looks sort of neat, I've never seen one like that.

aahmom, THAT'S Simon! But this toy...I don't know...it's really holding up well, and he loves it, loves the squeaking. He had a toy that he loved that he got for Christmas...carried it everywhere...days later, it was chewed to pieces. This ball is so soft and squishy, I never thought it would last. If I sound a little more fascinated by this than normal, I am! I was getting pretty aggravated buying him toys that he just didn't take care of!

nativetxn, he goes through bones pretty fast too, and then he gets bored with them...he's a picky dog. Plus, he'd lose them under the furniture and come whining to me to fish them out.

I've spent a small fortune on toys for him. I bought him a HARD plastic toy, I thought there was no way in HELL he could eat that thing (cost $17), I swear he had it for 2 minutes and had chewed a hole in it!!

He loves his bones, whenever I give him one, he carries it around and sleeps with it for a couple of days before he'll eat, cracks me up. Then he'll decide he wants to eat it, and will not do anything else until it is gone. He makes me LOL

Dogs are the quirkiest little creatures, aren't they? I swear he's possessed by a human being...a naughty one at that!

Our pug destroys any of the stuffed toys within 2 days BUT, has not and, no matter how much he tries, cannot manage to even get tiny tear in his "baby" - a beanie baby pug!

It's pretty funny - one of DSs friends came over the other day and said to his mother "Look, their dog has a Mini-Me!"
