Did your dd complain about being too hot if she wore a princess dress to WDW? It's going to be hot when we're there. She wants to wear her Sleeping Beauty dress which has long sleeves. Did you take a change of clothes in case they got hot?

Yes, they can be HOT and itchy! We either brought a change of clothes in a bag or if they were only wearing the dress while eating a meal with the princesses, we'd just have them wear clothes underneath and then take the dress off right after the princess meal.

Oh yes, a change of clothes is a must! I think the only time she stayed dressed was when we went in Feb - and it was 60 degrees out. Other than that it's shorts and a tank top!

The only day we rented a locker was when DD wore her sleeping beauty dress to Mk after the princess tea party. She loved all the extra attentions she got. I put her little tennis shoes underneath and she had a great time.

The first night she wanted her pic taken in her cindy dress with cindy, then we just carried it in the backpack and slipped it on her before dinner. That one was a bit itchy so I didnt figure on her wanting to wear it all day. She did chose to wear it back to the hotel but it was cooler out so I made her wear a sweatshirt over top, it was quite an interesting look for her.

My dd3 would wear her princess dresses everyday all day if I let her. I always bring a change of clothes but I never need them.

DD 9 wore her Aurora costume much of the day - I kept it in a "space bag" (you can get them at Target and Walmart!) to keep the wrinkles down - and I had a "tote bag" (Disney of course!!) so I rolled up the dress when she was done with it - mostly she loved the attention- it was funny when we ran into the Trash Can in Tomorrowland - she just laughed and laughed!!

Something we did was buy a princess nightgown. They have summer ones right now at the Disney store. They are so much cooler, but still a little froofy and perfect for the park. They also sell similar ones at Target. :wizard:

DD3 wore her princess dresses all day on each of the day's we did a princess breakfast. I did have her wear a light undershirt (camisole style) under the snow white dress because she said it was scratchy. We took a change of clothes each time, but she didn't want to change. I figured as long as she was comfortable, I was fine with it.

DD would also want to wear princess costumes every day - especially if she saw other little girls dressed up! I personally think the costumes don't look very comfortable, so I'm packing her some fancy sleeveless dresses. Not official princess dresses, but they are beautiful and sparkly and very comfortable because they're real dresses. :sunny:

We'll be buying a Cindy costume at the Bibbidi Boppity, but that's the only costume she'll probably wear.

We always let DD wear her dress of choice but take a change of clothes. She loves the attention she gets from CMs calling her Princess and all but once she starts to get uncomfortable, she asks to change.
