If you were given a cruise

7 day ..and since we have only been on the Eastern, I would pick the western for something different.

Can it be one of the "Special Western" cruises with two stops at Castaway Cay? That would be my choice!
:sunny:

Ohhh, A free cruise!!!! :cool1: I would choose a Western because of the ports.
Kathy

I would take anything hey it free, right? but i would take the double cc on on the 7 day.......Hey may be it couble be right after my double cc cruise in july .... mmmmm... :cloud9:

I would take a 7 day. I haven't been on either of the 7 days yet, but I would want the Eastern for the extra day at sea and the ports.

I would also choose the Western....more ports, and I can come back to the ship in the afternon when things will be less crowded

Interesting responses.

I think the special western cruises with 2 visits to Castaway would be my choice also.

New question--

What restaurant would you skip to do Palo (if any) and why? or would you "double dip" and do dinner at your rotation restaurant and Palo?

Sue Ellen

I'd probably do a "Double Dip!!!" :flower:

i'd pick any port, that coincides with my break/vacation time! and i'd pick a 7 day one. it's more relaxing on the ship for 7 days, rather than going from land to sea...especially with 2 little ones! (i assume it's for my entire family!)

now for the restaurant...i'd look at the menu & see which one didn't appeal to me, and go from there. last time, we skipped the hawaiian/aloha/luau night, which i think it's changed to pirate night? right?

anyways...how we can dream... :flower:

:scratchin Humm tough question but I think I'd go with skipping Lumieres for Palo's. I couldn't double dip because the food at Palo's is so good you have no room left for anything else. We love the festive atmosphere of Parrot Cay and you can't miss the show at Animators Palate .

And for the first question I would do 7 day Western just because we haven't done that one yet & the 3 & 4 day is just a tease. :cool2:

7 day Western! I LOVED the stingrays in Grand Cayman. I would not take another 4 day cruise, it was to short to be worth the trouble in my opinion!

For free I'd take any one of them! I think if I had to pick one I'd do the 7 day Eastern. I love the extra sea day and we had so much fun at the Eastern stops on our 10 day that I'd like to go back.

The restaurant question is tough, but I think I'd skip Parrot Cay since that's the menu I like the least. Double dipping has its advantages, except that I prefer late seating for dinner! Maybe I should get the earliest reservation at Palo and then go to my regular rotation dining room for dessert--I could probably handle an extra dessert! It IS a cruise, after all, and I'm supposed to eat until I explode, right? And there's no fat, no calories, no sugar and no sodium in anything consume on the ship, right? :rotfl: Don't I wish!

So I had no choice and got the 3 nighter...but we added 3 days at the park and they changed me to a 4 night cruise...........we leave 3 weeks from today :teeth:

Eastern,
Western,
3 or 4 night (with a couple of days at WDW prior to the cruise)

and why?

Sue Ellen
I would take back-to-back Eastern/Western, that way I wouldn't have to choose  .

As far as the restaurant question goes, haven't eaten at Palo but will this summer. Can't decided if we want to skip or double dip. I guess it all depends on the shows that are on the Mexican Riviera cruise. So I will be watching for other responses as well.

We did win a free cruise....the 14 day repo cruise in May!!!!! Can't wait to go through the Panama Canal. :cheer2:

OOOH, I would definately say a 7 day Eastern. And Why? Well, we took a Western cruise this past June, it was PERFECT. Could not have been better. We took an Eastern WAY back in October 2001, and due to weather, it was totally different from the NORMAL Eastern. SO, if we took another Eastern cruise, it would be like a totally different cruise to us. Plus, I'd like to do it again under GOOD circumstances. That very first cruise was tough, because it was like 3 weeks after 9-11-01 and we were all SCARED something was gonna happen while we were gone. And there was that hurricane. Waves were SO big (like 18-20 feet swells) and we were all sick. The good side of it was we did Castaway Cay twice and missed St. Martin all togther. I did enjoy Peurto Rico though. OH, another reason is, I need to collect some spoons for my spoon collection from the eastern ports!! If there is a fairy out there giving away free cruises, PICK ME!! He He... :cheer2:
As for which restaurant to skip or double dip, I'd gladly skip Lumieres. Yuk! And I'd LOVE to do Palo's. After 2 cruises, STILL have never done Palos. We have had issues with my daughter not liking the kids clubs. Go figure.

We haven't done Palo's yet, but I think I would skip Lumieres one night. It is pretty comprable to Triton's from what I gather and that was our least favorite on the Wonder.

Radioqueen, you are SO lucky!!!! We qualified for the 14 day repro cruise giveaway from a radio station in Denver, but we didn't get picked. We did get a "Cruise Getaway" Package though. It included a DCL beachtowel, DCL hat, Cooler and a tiny Dcl radio w/headphones (doesn't work well). That stuff will all come in handy when we cruise in December! :cool1:

Sue Ellen,

Great question. We play the "What If" everytime DH plays Lotto.

Any cruise would be fine with us, so long as we're in the Disney Suite (dream lottery winnings cruise). If we had to choose, I guess we would choose 7 night Western.

I'd choose the Western, because I've never been to any of those ports. I love the idea of unpacking once and visiting several different places!
