If you were choosing?

Deb, those light cabinets are my favorite thing on the spree. It looks so light inside, beautiful. There is actually more storage and cabinets in the jay. Theres alot of cabinets in the spree but they are very small. The one in the jay are deep and much bigger. i do love the u shaped dinette, kids like the bar in the jay....see my problem? lol The jay has a flatscreen mounted on a swivel wall so it can turn to the kitchen couch area or to the "master bedroom". I need to go look at them again just waiting on the hubby to get a day off work.

In looking at the pictures of the bunk room, it looks like the Spree has a TV hook-up, but the Jay doesn't. I don't have kids, but I would imagine TV in the bunk room would be of the utmost importance. Also - it looks like you have a teeny more counter space in the kitchen on the Spree.

Wow! The prices are close. In comparing the floor plans, you have one additional closet outside the bunk room on the Spree. I also like the flow of that floor plan. I think the bar & stools would get in the way of the entrance on the Jay and that's two more things you need to make sure are secured before you take off. Securing stuff is a pain in my book. The less, the better. I also like the fact that all the plumbing on the Spree is on one side of the trailer, and not on both sides like the Jay. That limits the possibility of future leaks to one area. Now....the Spree has a 17' awning and the Jay has an 18' awning. Decisions, decisions.

We made a decision! Since we cant seem to choose between the two, we figured why not keep looking. If we buy now if will just sit until spring, so why not look for a few months to be sure of what we want.:confused3

Sounds logical to me! And you can probably hit one or two of the winter RV shows.

If you have till Spring I'd definately hit the RV shows this winter, where you'll probably get a better deal and you'll be able to see them in person.

On the second new one posted, the floor plan shows a 'bike door' in the back by the bunks. The picture shows a bunk there and looks like a doorway for storage.

How are you supposed to get a bike in there? Does the bunk flip up or something? Surely the bike can't slide underneath the bunk?

If it's like my Outback, the lower bunk flips up and there is a latch to hold it up.

I know of this really REALLY nice Montana mountaineer 325fkbs with 4 new tires for sale.... :rolleyes1 Highly motivated seller willing to make a deal!!!

You need to sit down and write down what you want in options. Everything from cabnet storage to placement of beds. Do you want to be able to close a door or curtain when the kids are asleep so you can enjoy the rest of the rv. Do you want enclosed underbelly. Do you want ducted a/c. What color. Size of shower. Slide or no slide. We can all help you to buy what we think is best for you. You might not be 100% happy though. Its a big decision you need to make. It took us 3 years to find the layout we have now. We have been happy with it for 5 years now. Were now thinking of trading it in for something bigger as our kids are growing and rvs are getting lighter. It also helps I have a bigger T.V. that can handle a bigger rv. Thats another thing you need to keep a eye on can your T.V. handle the rv your interested in.
