If you were choosing?

Is the used one the same set up as the other two? If it is not too old and in really good condition, I would go for the used one.

used 2000 model...ive looked at so many the make and model have left my mind..

It only has 2 bunks in the back but would work for us.

Of the two you posted, I like the 2nd one better. If you can find another used bunk model for 8k, and it is in great shape, I think I would choose it.

If the used one looks as nice as the pics appear it does, I'd definitely go with it. Just make sure there is no hidden damages or leaks.

Yeah, if the used one is clean, seems well maintained and fits your needs...that's a pretty compelling argument. Think of the extra money for Fort trips you'd have by saving $14,000.

If I were choosing, I'd go with the new Jayco. But, I'd get them down every penny I could and shop around.

A very clean used one we found for $8000.

It would depend on the brand of the used one as well on how much it was used. Many used units that sit are in worse shape than those that were actively camped in. Problems (leaks etc) aren't caught in time.

I'm with Denise on the new one I would go with the Jayco one reason being the warranty as well as quality.

It hasn't just sat, they used it quite a bit. just well maintained. The owners are buying a class A.

Honestly the kids don't fit into those bunks for long anyway.

If this is the $8,000 one..I'd go for it. Looks very nice. :thumbsup2

Having spent the last couple weeks loooking at similar Spree's and Jayco's, I would have to say that I liked the quality in the Jayco's a bit better. We haven't committed to a new one yet though. If we could find a used one in really good condition for a reasonable price, we would probably go that way and save $$.

I haven't looked at the Spree's in person, but, I love the Jayco's. Very much so! If money was no object, I would already own one.

The used one would be a great money saver. The only thing...we have 3 girls also. We just sold our TT that had 2 bunks. It was smaller than this one, as it had no couch, just the dinnette, but, we wanted the extra space. We want one with the 4 bunks in the back.

On the second new one posted, the floor plan shows a 'bike door' in the back by the bunks. The picture shows a bunk there and looks like a doorway for storage.

How are you supposed to get a bike in there? Does the bunk flip up or something? Surely the bike can't slide underneath the bunk?

They all look great. I'm just worried about the used one not having a sleeping space for Auntie Kelly. :rolleyes1

I definately like the floorplan on the Spree better, especially if it has real wood doors & not drapes for the master bedroom. It would be more efficient for 'quiet time' for mom & dad.;)

Yes the bunk flips up.

$21,000 Jay Feather

$22,000 Spree

or A very clean used one we found for $8000.

It's all about personal peferences and realizing the KZ Spree is about 4' longer I would prefer based on the pics and floorplans the Spree for the following reasons.

1. More cabinets and 4 drawers in the kitchen.

2. The U-shaped dinette

3. The large counter space for the TV and flexibility to put more sizes TVs there.

4. The ready access to under the dinette seats with the doors there.

5. A little more kitchen counter space.

However, it's really hard w/o seeing them in personal with only pics.

Hmmmm..... I kinda have to agree with Larry on this one. The kitchen in the Spree seems a lot more user friendly than the Jay. I think the U-dinette is better suited for a family than the traditional dinette in the Jay. I also like light wood in an RV. For some reason, it makes it look larger & brighter.

Tough choice! :confused3

OH COME ON and just say you agree with me on just this topic and I won't hold that against you. :rotfl2::thumbsup2

I didn't mention it but for use closet space and not just those silly almost useless shirt closest is really important and to the extend of a non starter. We really liked the Outbacks and even the Springdales when we were shopping, but the last of what we wanted in closet space just wasn't there. The two other musts for us were as much counter space in the kitchen area and how viewable the entertainment area was from all the seating.

We didn't realize it at the time, but with a front side to side couch and large floor area we were able to put one of those coffee tables that raise up for eating or working on that adds eating area for two more adults. Our last trailer had a large "L" shaped dinette along with a traditional one and we really liked the separate seating areas since I sit at the dinette and basically turn it into a Desk type area with my computer and the dogs have the other side with a perch for them to sit on and look outside.
