As my family & I are planning our yearly trip to the "world" & I was wondering...
We recieved 1 day passes at the gate of MK on our way out along with the apologies of the CM..I was told at the hotel to "hang on to your pass keys from your rooms as well as the passes to use in the future"
Which brings me to my question..has anyone used the passes they recieved that day & if so was there any problem at the gate? I don't wanna get there & have my sons all excited & run into a problem...:p

Yes I got them for 9/11 and we used them on 9/12...they were a park hopper one day single pass, and we had no problem with them at all. My DH wanted to use them right away as he was not sure if these refund tickets would be good forever and we were not sure when we would be returning to WDW.

we did not receive any passes for the future. However, Disney was so nice to us during that time I did not pursue it. We were at BWV and they did not charge us any points for 9/11 or 9/12. We also moved over to GF after the rest of our family left, and got a great rate.

We were at BWV as well (supposed to go home on 9-11, but things changed)

I went down to the front desk on 9-12, and there was a CM that appeared to be devoted to the task of replacing passes. It was very simple. They asked how many and gave them to us.

DVC took care of us very well, we stayed through Thursday night without using any additional points.

Just there last week, and had 5 passes from 9/11 we got as we were leaving MK. We brought our nephew, since we had AP's. You want to go to Guest Relations, and turn them in. I had exchange the first one at the ticket window at Epcot, the second at MGM. The ticket windows were a little confused, the third day I tried to exchange at the ticket window at MK, and they said go to Guest Relations. When I went ot Guest relations at MK, I traded the remaining 3 in at one time, she gave me 3 1-day park hoppers, she asked me when I got them, I said last year, she said when, I said 9-11. Sounds like they treat the 9-11 tickets different (make them hoppers versus 1-da/1-park?).

I don't think you need a room key, since not all guest they handed them out to were staying on site.

Anyway, exchange at guest relations, ticket windows are hit & miss.

We got 9/11 tickets and they were used without a problem during the summer...

I planned on using them one day at MK & one day at epcot (we recieved 6-1day passes)
Does anyone know where I go for guest relations at these parks?

Epcot & MK are to the far right as you face the entrance.
See if you can trade them in at the same time, saves waiting in line.

We plan to use ours next month, did everyone get the tickets as park hopper passes? Or did anyone get their tickets for just one park? Good to know for planning purposes...
Thanks!:D

We got two 1 day park hoppers tickets as replacements...we park hopped with those tickets between, MK Epcot and MGM on the 12th of Sept last year with no problem at all.....

thanks for the info,
I wonder why some people got 1day/1park and some people got park hoppers?
:D

We had 8-1 day tickets given to us. Since they said "1 day 1 park" on them we called ahead expressing our concern about the wording on our tickets. We wanted hoppers since that's what we had on the 11th. They noted our concern in the computer, gave us a reference number which we gave to guest services upon our arrival. They replaced our "1 day 1 park tickets" with tickets clearly marked "1 day hopper". It probably would not have been a problem, but we didn't want to try to fight that battle in March upon our arrival when we could easily do it over the phone from home beforehand.

hmm...We weren't offered any passes when we left Epcot that morning... maybe because we had annual passes... oh well.

We were at MGM, CM's were just standing at the gates handing tickets out to everyone who left (at least that's the way I remember it).

Lion King,
The fact that you had AP's should have nothing to do with it. We were also there on AP's and they did not ask us what kind of pass we were there on. I can't believe you were able to get out of the gate without someone asking you to see how many tickets you had for your party.(That's why the lines to leave were so backed up.) The fact is, WDW was trying to compensate us for a day of our vacation that was lost by their call (a good one) to close the parks. When I exited MGM they stopped each family to compensate them. It's hard to believe that the procedure was so different at Epcot. Were they just not doing this at all at Epcot?

We also were at Epcot when it closed on 9/11. We exited at the side entrance by YC. We were staying at Boardwalk. We were not offered any passes nor did I see anyone being stopped etc. Some CM's were standing there and spoke to us and others as we were leaving. Some people were asking questions of the CM's but they did not know when the parks would reopen etc. Lisa
