If you wanted to get to ESPN from the Magic Kingdom, what would be the best way to do it? How long would it take you?

What if you were at POFQ? How would you get to ESPN?

From MK, I would simply get on the Boardwalk bus, which, last I knew, was shared with the Swan & Dolphin and the Yacht & Beach Club. Get off at the Boardwalk stop, and there you are. From POFQ, it's more complicated, because there is no direct bus. I would probably take a bus to DTD, than switch to a bus to the Boardwalk.

Depending on the time of day, you could also take a bus to one of the parks, then hop a bus to the Boardwalk, or a boat to the Boardwalk from MGM. There are also boats to the Boardwalk from Epcot, but they are at the back entrance to Epcot, so if you took a bus to Epcot you'd have to actually enter Epcot (ticket required) and walk all the way through and out the International Gateway (the back entrance/exit) to get on the boat - way too time consuming.

Agreed to take the Boardwalk bus. However, coming back from MK, that bus stops at Swan, Dolphin, YC and BC before reaching the Boardwalk. Thus, it is easier and far less time consuming to get off the bus at Swan and walk to the Boardwalk from there. And, given where the Boardwalk bus drops one off, it is really not that much further.

We were last at WDW in Nov. of 2002, staying at Dolphin. Only once or twice did our bus stop at Boardwalk. The rest of the week Boardwalk had a bus to itself.

Good point.

I don't know if it varies by season, but on my last two trips (Feb 2003 staying at Boardwalk, and September 2003 staying at the Dolphin) those resorts all shared a bus. Maybe they share during low seasons, and have separate busses at busier times?

In any case, the busses will be marked as to the resort they go to, and all of the mentioned resorts are within walking distance of the Boardwalk, so if the one you take stops at the Swan & Dolphin or the Yacht & Beach Club, but not the Boardwalk, it's no big deal - just get off at any of those resorts and walk over.
