If you want 2 rooms close do you check in online?

My son's family and I will be checking at the same time - Should either of us do online check in? Supposedly the reservations are linked as "traveling with" so would online check in do any good or should we just wait until we get there so we can talk to the CM.

Is there anywhere on the check in site to put that you are traveling with another reservation number so that they can put the 2 rooms close to each other?

There is no way to input a request that says you are traveling with another party, but if that request was made when the reservation was first made, it will trump requests made during online check-in.

Depending on where you are staying, you might get a little more specific. At the Poly you can request the same long house and floor. At the BC/YC you can only request ground floor vs high floor, etc.

we are at the AoA - Lion King - I really want to be close because I am planning on doing little surprise bags each day for whatever park we are visiting that day for the grandkids. I wanted to put them outside the door each morning.

Is that a new thing? I've been doing that for about 10 years when my mom comes with us, and they have absolutely accommodated us every time with a joint room....

You can request it when you make the reservation but not during online check in. I did online check in earlier this weeks for our August trip and we have a connecting room request, but there was no place to confirm it or request it again.
