If you used a 40% code - help me research please

I also booked a trip at POR for 9/30-10/7 and my rate was also $87 with my postcard for %40 off. I think this is the best rate you will get unless you are going to downgrade to a value. I didn't get a discount on the package pieces but I did get a discount on the room part of my package. So I believe that is what she meant when she said it was good for packages also. You can book a package but get the discount on the room portion only. HTH and have a great trip.

Update!

The advice to call again helped! I called this morning to re-schedule my March hold. This time I said I knew I had a pin attached to my name, and that I wanted to look up room only rates for that pin for 8/23, 7 nights for 2 adults and 3 kids at POR. She actually said "wow - this is a really good rate!" It came up as $87 per night standard and $96 water view. At that point I told her what "the code" was and she said "yes, that's the code on your name".

She also told me that this code must be booked by 3/15 for travel through 12/27 with targeted weeks. I'd have to ask for specific weeks individually to see what rate they came up as. I didn't want to trouble her. The quote she gave me for tickets was for 4 day basic with waterpark options was $1269 for 3 adults (one of my kids is 12) and 2 children. I'll research if I can do better.

She did say that "the code" was good on packages too, but I was being called away by my DD so left it at that.

I'm hopeful that the room only figure will convince DH!

THAT is the 40% off code that everyone has talked about. The link I posted previously in this thread - I think - has all the dates for which that promo is valid.

Again - some resorts on some weeks may not have availability.

Ok, I just booked Poly starting 8/21 with the 40% off. I had the pin #. And because it was in my maiden name, I was told that I need to show some proof of that name, which is not a problem because it is hyphenated on my drivers license so both names are shown. Over and over again, I was told that I will need to bring proof of my name and proof of the pin# card, which I have both so I don't expect any problems. Garden view for 7 nights came out to $1555.

I was asked if I wanted to apply the pin# to a dining and ticket package but at the time I didn't want to because I was in room-only mode. Would I have been given an additional discount for dining and tickets? I didn't think so but are there any pins/codes that actually do discount those things? If so, it's probably worth it for me to call back and price it out.

In this case dining and tickets are at the regular price. They just make a package out of it. And when they do.. they can request full payment of a 'package' vacation 45 days prior to your trip.

Smart! Cause they have your money for 45 days. And you don't.
