If you teens wouldn't mind, I'd like to ask your opinion

I was hoping you would give me your input as to why our DS doesn't want to go back to Disney. He's 16 and has gone every year since he was 5 except for last year and this year (his choice)
He doesn't want to go back again for a LONG time. He says he's sick of it and although he likes it, he remembers everything and it gets to be a little old year after year. So he has decided to stay home with relatives on future Disney vacations.
DH and I just love Disney. He is welcome to bring his cousin along as he has in the past (they are the same age and best friends). DH even offered him to make the whole itinerary for the trip. We would do what he likes when he likes, we would be happy going to Disney Quest , mini golf, BB etc..
But he'd rather stay home and have fun. He likes to go to the movies with us and out to dinner etc...so it's not that he doesn't want to be seen with his parents LOL
I guess I'm just wanting some other teens to feel bad for me, I love our family vacations and miss them.

wow...i do feel pity for u because i cannot relate at all!! i LOVE LOVE LOVE Disney vacations with my family (as a matter of fact i was able to choose our summer vacation spot as a graduation gift and I chose disney of course) and couldn't possibly imagine going without my family. although i would admit, sometimes places like Rome, London, or Hawaii sound better than Disney, I wouldn't miss the chance for a disney vacation! i really don't understand your son's thinking, but since i'm younger than him maybe that plays a part. however, i do understand why you feel bad. :( good luck!

Hmmmm......I can't relate to this either, and I'll be 16 next July. I LOVE WDW, and would go back there in a heartbeat! Maybe your son just wants to go someplace different for a change.

In a way i can and can't relate to this, my mom is in love with disney we have been to WDW thousands of times and we even went to disneyland CA and now this summer we are going to disneyland paris so it does get pretty boring after being there so many times but it is still fun alot of fun seeing as how most of the people i know have never been to disney before so i do simpithise 4 u keep trying cuz mabey he might want to go soon::MinnieMo

Im sry 4 u but think of it this way when he has children and he still doesn't want to go u can take them

I've been to Disney every year since ive been born.... and still LOVE to go there. But in the past two years my parents have given me a phone (or walkie talkie) and have let me go where-ever i please, as long as i check-in with them on my phone or walkie talkie every now and again. I go off by myself and meet some other kids who look like they're by themselves and end up having a blast with them. but i guess if your son wants to stay home... its up to him, but he'll be missing out on family fun and the magic of disney. ::MickeyMo
