Can you ahve it sent back to where your staying and pick it up ??? I can not see carrying a cake around or going back to our room to put it in the fridge??

I thought if you can send toys and stuff you buy why not left over cake??:confused3

The restaurant will place any left over cake in a box - then in a plastic bag with handles.

Do your special meal when you are about to leave the park to your room.

We did a cake at LTT for our DS birthday for lunch - then headed back to our resort. The cake went into the refrigerator and we went into the pool :)

Because cake icing/filling is subject to spoiling in the heat.

When you have a purchase sent back to your resort (toys, etc.), it doesn't go there immediately. I'm sure it all sits in a storage room or in the back of a van for several hours. Trust me, you're not going to want to eat whipped cream after it's been sitting in Florida heat for hours.

If Disney started handling food products in the same way they handle purchases, they'd have to put refrigerators in the storage areas, and sort each package to make sure it didn't contain something perishable, and then have legal liability if something wasn't stored properly and the guest ends up in the hospital.
