Hi there everyone!

So I'm going on my first trip to Europe in less than a month...and it turns out I'll have time to go to DLP one day.

I've been to WDW a myriad of times, but never to any other Disney park.

My questions for you guys are:

What are some MUST DOs that I won't find state-side?
Do they offer merchandise that is exclusive to DLP? (looking here quickly it didn't seem so...)
What are some must tries in the sense of counter-service restaurants?
Is it cheaper to buy the tickets online or at the gate? (I see the prices on the website, but those passes are only available online it says?)
How are the crowds heading to the RER at park closing? Is it crazy congested, or not too bad?
Any other pointers?

I'm obviously doing my own research also, but I wanted to hear from all of you!

I'd do Crushs Coaster and Ratatouille if you're visiting the Studios. If not checkout the Castle (you can go upstairs and into the basement), Space Mountain (it's totally different), Indiana Jones and Phantom Manor (it's similar to HM but darker).
I've definitely seen Paris exclusive merch though I don't know how much there is.
All the counter service there is pretty average, my vote goes to Fuente Del Oro for taquitos.

Thanks OldSchool!

Would you recommend doing Studios first? That's what my gut is saying but I want to confirm that I'm not being a goof lol.

Are you staying on site? If so use your EMH to do the rides that are open (Some of fantasyland and some of discovery) then get to the Studios for rope drop. If not go straight to the Studios. If you're on your own do Crush first then single rider Remy, if not then send someone to get fastpasses for Remy then do Crush.

If you're a WDW veteran I imagine you'll be able to tick all the boxes in the morning and spend the rest of the day in the park.

Also I'd buy tickets in advance and print them because buying them on the day will take up precious time, I imagine they're cheaper too.

I'm not staying on site (sadness!). I'm staying in a hostel in Paris with my tour group. This is just a free day, and I figured "might as well!"

All of that sounds like a plan though! Thank you so much! :)

If you want to ride Crush and Ratatouille make sure you get to the Studios for 9am. The gates open at 9:30, then head straight for Crush as the line gets long and it does not have FP. This way you will be near the front of the line. Then go and get a FP for Ratatouille (of if you are on our own the single rider line is often useful). We usually the go on RC Racer as the line has not usually built up for it at that point.

In the Disneyland park there are several rides that are not at WDW or are different. Space Mountain is a fast looping rollercoaster (more like RnRC), hopefully it will have just opened from its refurb when you are there. BTMRR is also different in that it goes under the lake onto its own island. In Fantasyland the Alice In Wonderland maze is worth a look around, especially as you can take some nice pictures from the top of the tower. Adventure Isle is also nice to walk around, the Blue Lagoon restaurant located inside the POTC ride is also nice (it is similar to Blue Bayou at Disneyland, but much more atmospheric). Don't forget the castle, both upstairs and underneath.

The train back to Paris at park closing won't be that busy and are very easy to use. We often stay at an apartment hotel one stop down the line and have always got a seat on the train.

Have a great trip.
