If you need a Reservation for The Boathouse, use Open Table

Because this seems to be something that quite a few people have found helpful, I figured I'd let everyone know.

If you can't get a reservation at The Boathouse through Disney, try Open Table - they often have a bunch of reservations still available, even the day of!

I personally have used open table because it's useful in my city for restaurants. I stumbled upon The Boathouse while trying to find other restaurants for my Orlando trip.

Open Table reservations can be cancelled up to 30 minutes in advance, so you don't have to pay those Disney cancellation fees for changing your mind at the last minute! However, Open Table does have a no-show policy. If you have 4 no-shows within a year, they will suspend your account.

Does anyone know how far out you can book Boathouse on Open Table? Tomorrow is my 180 day mark and Open Table is telling me my date exceeds the reservation date maximum????

GREAT post - and thank you . But do realize.... this way of doing business is NOT limited to the Boathouse.

There are a number of non-Disney owned restaurants that may be booked DIRECTLY - through Open Table,or by going to the Restaurant Website, or by phone.
Fulton's, Portabello, Il Mulino, Shula's, TRex, Cappo.... the key is who OWNS the restaurant. If Disney doesn't own it? You can likely book it with a WORKING reservation system.

As time moves on - I expect STK, Morimoto's, and other fine dining restaurant's will add to the list....

Through Disney the only time I could get for the Bosthouse was 5:00. I called them directly and was able to get a 7:30 reservation
