If you have used Skyauction's vacation certificates

how long after winning them in the auction did you receive the email containing the information. I bought 2 weeks early this morning, and haven't seen the email yet. Now our first choice of resorts is not available!!!

I sent an email to Skyauction and haven't heard back from them yet either

Some times they didn't get back to me for days.. don't panic.. they will get back to you. I know the first time, I did panic.

My biggest issue is that this morning when I bought the certificates, I did so because there were 3 bedroom units available. Now they are gone for our travel time and I'm going to be stuck squishing 6 of us in a 2 bedroom at a totally different resort. Had I gotten those certificates emailed with an hour or two, we would have had those 3 bedroom units.

also sometimes RCI (owner of skyaction) will take something out of skyauction because an exchanger wants it.

so no guaranteeds about the 3 bedrooms ever.

If you are traveling at a later time, say in the fall, the 3 bedrooms will pop up again between now and then. The inventory changes all the time. Only time I would be that upset is if it was down to the two weeks before I was going.. I saw a 3 bedroom at the Embassy for Sept/Oct & now it is gone. I was thinking of taking it but I want to wait until I have my HHN tickets to make sure my dates for the unit are the same as my HHN date. I am waiting on the AP discounted rates for the HHN tkts, and they haven't been released yet. It is a catch 22 for me. I will just have to wait .... I am 99.9% sure more 3 bedrooms will pop up between now & then.
I am thinking the week of Sept 27th since we have Mon & Tues off school. I will request Wed & Thursday off to give me Sat-Thursday up there. My DH could stay the remainder of the time & have some of his friends join him to play golf. That is what they did last year. I left with my DD & his friends came up & they played golf...
.....but before I do this, I have to be sure about HHN and the AP discounted nights.. I just wish Universal would release their AP HHN rates & dates....
Don't you just wish all of life's problems were this tuff....

I won one of the $199 specials last night and got the confirmation email immediately, but not the reservation/booking info. Thanks for the info on changing availability. Last night a 3br at Grand Beach was showing up, but not now. I hadn't heard of it before, but it looks nice and I'm familiar with the area. Of course I can't book anything yet until SA sends my info. We are traveling in Sept and have room only booked at Pop. We stay both on and off site, but we just got back from a split stay, 2 nights at Pop and 7 nights in a 3 br condo at Windsor Palms and now we're spoiled for the space. My older kids loved having their own brs and the extra bathroom. I am not going to be there the whole week though, has anyone else done this? We will arrive on 9/26 leaving 9/30.

Oh how I hope you are right. I'm way to impatient and having to wait to book is driving me insane

Chelly00 - If you bought the vacation certificates via the "Vacation Blowout Clearance Sale", you should get your certificates via email almost immediately. Check you spam folder if you didn't receive them. Also, the certificates should also show up in your record under "My Vacations" once they have been assigned.

Spiceycat - RCI doesn't own SkyAuction: they are completely independent companies. RCI just sells the certificates to SkyAuction to resell. That is why SkyAuction doesn't have any control over the inventory that comes up on the certificates.

RCI does play with availability on the certificates, so it can change drastically from day to day (and sometimes hour to hour). Also, RCI's systems tend to have a lot of issues and will sometimes return no availability even when there should be (especially late evening and on Saturday night), so you often have to check throughout the day (or each) day to try and find what you are looking for.

I bought my two certificates yesterday around 4:30 PM (eastern time) and still don't have my certificates. It does show in "my vacations" that I bought them, breaks it down for the amount I purchased with the fee, and how I paid them. (no other details.) I am wondering if I should attempt to contact them, shouldn't I have the certificates by now? (and they are not in my spam folder or anything.)

I did buy them through Vacation Blowout yesterday morning at 9am, and they still are not here. I sent 2 emails to Skyauction and finally at 7pm last night got a reply that it can take a day or two to process them.
