I'm planning on going to lunch at one of the WS restaurants with 4 adults. We're trying to decide which one to choose because they all sound so yummy! Three people have already been to Le Cellier, the Biergarten, and Rose & Crown. We've narrowed it down to either Le Cellier, Akershus, or L'Originale Alfredo di Roma. Any suggestions?? We LOVED Le Cellier and thought it might be nice to go back but are also open to other suggestions. We also liked the fact that at Le Cellier you get breadsticks before the meal. Do any other restaurants offer similar pre-meal food? Or would you suggest a completely different restaurant that is in a nearby resort?? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I'm glad to see that one of your choices is Akershus. I was sure that you would not of thought about going there.

I don't know why people sometimes overlook it. It's a great place for regular kinds of food with a different spin on it.

But, you can really never go wrong with Le Cellier. Great Steaks and the best Cheddar Cheese Soup I've ever had. I could just eat that for lunch.

Out of those 3 I'd go to Le Cellier - as Mike said you just can't go wrong!!

I know what it's like trying to decide on a place you've been to and love and trying out somewhere new but if this is the food that you like - then go

Alfredo's would be my second choice.

Both Alfredo's and Le Cellier offer pre-meal food. Akershus is a buffet so there is no wait for your food. They do offer breads on the buffet, however.

Out of your three choices I would go with...
1. Akershus - we love this place and try to eat there each visit.
2. Le Cellier - good steaks, but most of you have already been
there. I'd try something new.
3. Alfredo's - we avoid this one at all costs. We've eaten there
a few times over the years and each time
wonder why we went back. The food is okay,
but overpriced and not much different than
you can get in any decent Italian restaurant in
the US. JMHO...your mileage may vary.

I'd also add Teppanyaki to your list. You can get steak, chicken or seafood there and the food is excellent.

Enjoy your meal, wherever you decide to go.

I would suggest a completely different restaurant that is at Epcot -- Marrakesh. The food is wonderful, you get to eat in a palace and a belly dancer and musician will entertain you.

As long as everyone in your group is even slightly adventurous when it comes to food, I'd choose Akershus. My wife and I really like it, though our kids don't.

Next time I'm in Epcot, I'm going to have a relatively quick lunch at Yakitori House in the Japan pavilion.

We are very adventurous with food, but neither my husband or myself thought much of Akershus. We loved Chefs deFrance and LeCellier. I'd go to LeCellier just for the pretzel breadsticks and the cheddar cheese soup. YUM!

Can't wait until 60 days inadvance to start making my ps.

April - you can make a ps for Le Cellier and other Epcot eateries 120 days out - I've made my reservation for dinner already for my July trip.

I would go with Le Cellier. But then, I'm not real adventurous with food.

If the adults in your party are willing to try unique foods, I'd suggest giving Akershus a try.

I would try something new. How about Japan or Morocco? Both have very good food and wonderful atmospheres. The beauty of eating at WS is experiencing all the different cultures so why not go someplace that no one has eaten at? I like all the WS restaurants, some more than others but I still enjoy them all.

Me, DH, and DD decided last year to Pick one place each year to eat at until we have eaten all around the "world". Last year Mitsukoshi at Teppanyaki, this year Marrakesh! We write down on paper all the countries we haven't eaten at yet then pass it around each picking one for elimination until the last one is left, and that is where we eat! It sounds corny but we have alot of fun with it!

While not in your list of choices, I would have to recommend Marrakesh! I think that this restaurant is a hidden jewel. The food is incredible, it is not "the usual fare," and the entertainment is fantastic.

It may be a new experience for all in your party! :)

Akershus is my favorite restaurant in WDW. I'd give it a try if I were you. You won't know if you'll like it until you eat there!

Tangierine Cafe has some wonderful and quick lunchtime Middle Eastern sandwiches. This was the best lunch I had during my last visit to the World (being vegetarian I have limited choices, but this was my favorite lunch).

Le Cellier is awesome for dinner...they had the best vegetarian dinner during my last visit. Yummers! ;)

My first choice would have to be Le Cellier, that cheese soup, yummy!!

My second choice would be Akershus, fab!!

Of the three you offered, I also give my vote for Le Cellier....Deelish!

I also love Teppanyaki for lunch. A great lunch that is entertaining as well.

Enjoy your lunch and your vacation!

Japan & Mexico's restaurants were always dh & I's favorites at WS, but now we try to always schedule lunch or dinner at GG in FW. We have been there several times and the food has always been good. The character interaction is one of the best of all the character meals and it's nice because it's served family style so you don't have to get up.
