if you had to pick....MVMCP or OL?

My fiance and I will be in Disney from Nov 1-Nov 7. Nov 7th is the first MVMCP and also projected to be the first night of Osborne Lights. Neither one of us has ever seen the lights or been to the Christmas Party. I'm torn on which to pick. I'm definitely leaning towards the Christmas Party but also keep hearing how beautiful the lights are. Looking for suggestions.

We loved both. The lights are obviously a much shorter experience, but they are also free with admission. They really are beautiful and fun to experience. But the party is a 5 hour event with shows, parades, fireworks and more. In my opinion, it is very expensive any more, but I would still say everyone should go at least once. So really this is not help at all. Probably just made you want to do both of them. LOL Maybe go by whether or not you have the extra money to spend. If so go to the party, if not the lights are amazing.

If the price of entry isn't an issue then I would say that you should do MVMCP. There is a lot more to see and you get to be in the park later. The OFL are fun and a sight to see, but it is very crowded and a short experience.

I totally agree with this. We saw MVMCP and OFL on our trip in 2012 and only OFL on our trip in 2013. I feel like I missed that "Disney" Christmas the second time. OFL is spectacular, but realistically, it's a walk through attraction that does get very crowded. MVMCP has what I was looking for to make our holiday vacation complete.

The lights. They were hands down my favorite part of our last Christmas trip. I'm also not into the parades and such, so to me the CP was more just being in MK late with low wait times, which was awesome. But I'd definitely rather see the lights.

We've been to the Christmas party twice and have seen the lights once (the lights were down on our first December trip). The lights are very nice to see, but MVMCP is great, IMO. If I had to choose between them, I'd choose the party as there are special parades and shows, as well as party specific merchandise. It's also great to watch it snow on Main Street.

Been to MVMCP twice, and seen the lights once... I would say definately the lights. I like the party, the parade and fireworks, but the lights are just so impressive!

We are very excited to be doing both this year we will be there the same time as you the 30-9th.
