I already made a forum about my fear, but to do something separate...

How would you rank these DL rides based on intensity/ "scare factor", on a scale from 1 to 10?

-California Screamin
-Space Mountain
-Big Thunder Mountain
- Matterhorn
-Radiator Spring Racers (Not too scared of this one, but just in case)
-Star Tours (Just a 3D ride, but also in case)
-Indiana Jones Adventure

And I'm not going to DW anytime soon, and this isn't the DW forum, but if you have been there, could you rank these?

-Rock N' Roll Coaster
-Mission: Space

Also, you don't have to do this, but could you give a little info on the rating? You know, like a grade.

Example:
3= Not Too Bad or 9 = Holy crap.

I think it depends a little on what specifically "scares" you about the attractions or makes it intense. For example, personally, I don't think many of the DLR/WDW attractions are terribly scary/intense, but that doesn't mean I can/will ride all of them. I won't do Star Tours, but it's not because it's particularly scary or intense, but the 3D images do make me motion sick. Likewise, Mission: Space also makes me motion sick, but I don't think it's a very scary or intense attraction. Truthfully, there really isn't anything in DLR or WDW that is really that intense or scary when you start to compare the attractions to the theme parks that focus on coasters and thrill rides.

So using your scale...
California Screamin' = 6 (there are few big d)
Space = 4 (darkness so you can't see what's coming, but not a lot of big drops)
BTMRR = 2 (mild, drops are turns are mostly visible; sit in the front to reduce the intensity)
Matterhorn = 3 (for the attraction; the Yeti can be kind of scary), 5 (for the bumpiness)
RSR = 2 (mild; driving in a car with the windows down is more intense; max speed is around 40 mph, so most cars drive faster than that)
Star Tours = 3 (unless you're prone to motion sickness from 3D movies)
Indy = 4 (some scary images and a bit bumpy)
RnR = 6 (inversions and darkness)
Mission: Space = 2 (unless you're prone to motion sickness, then skip it)

CS: 6: Not as scary as it seems; the anticipation is MUCH worse than the ride! It's smooth, and if you keep your eye closed, you'd never know its a roller coaster. Over the shoulder harness keeps you tightly in place.

SM: 4: Not being able to see anything is actually a bonus here! It only goes 35mph. It feels faster because of specially placed fans, and the tempo of the music. It feels more intense than it really is, if that makes sense. Padded bar across your lap (separate for each person) keeps you safe.

BTMRR: 3-4: 35mph. No sudden movements, drops are small. Very smooth ride. It was my DD's favorite at 7yo. One solid bar goes across all the riders in the car (this freaked me out when I went with DD--my 200-lb self had legs significantly larger than my failure-to-thrive 50-lb child did, so I was scared of her falling out, but it never actually would happen!)

Matterhorn: 3: Worse part of this one is the bumpiness factor. As far as actual scariness/speed/drops, they are all mild. Seatbelt secures you.

RSR: 2-3: Slow to start, then speedy at the end for the race. Just a few small bunny hills. Shoulder/lap belts like a car.

ST: 4: This one is a little scarier because of the sudden changes in direction/"speed". I hate how it feels going through the warp speed thing. And it makes my tummy unhappy. But any simulated ride makes me sick nowadays! Seatbelts across the lap only.

IJ: 3-4: Bumpiness factor is heavy here. The ride is mostly just visual effects. There is one small drop that scared me initially, but not after I knew when to expect it. SPOILER: It's after you see the boulder. Seatbelt across the lap.

I suppose, if things like drops and darkness unnerve you, it's worth pointing out that there are also two drops in Pirates. The first often happens in pitch darkness, and is the bigger if the two. Nothing major (at least not to me), but worth knowing they are there. I took a 3 year old and a 5 year old and both were fine with the drops so they aren't that big (you also know they aren't big because there is no safety restraint on Pirates).

In terms of thrill rides, you also left off Splash, Grizzly Rapids, Tower of Terror, Gadget's Go Coaster and Goofy's Sky School.

No one will be calibrated the same for their interpretation of "scary". That said, Disneyland "coasters" are baby coasters, with the exception of Screamin. These are family-oriented experiences made to thrill adults *and* younger children (tall enough to ride). Nothing in DLR is close to the intensity of what you'd find at Knotts, Cedar Point, Kings Island, etc.

0 = Sitting on a bench, in the shade.
10 = Modern hyper-coaster.

5-California Screamin: Top speed 62 mph. Steepest drop 108 ft. One inversion. Fun!
4-Space Mountain: Top speed 35 mph. No steep drops, just a lot of turning and dipping in the dark. Laser projections and music.
3-Big Thunder Mountain: Top speed 35 mph. No steep drops, just a lot of turning and dipping in broad daylight. Nice scenery.
2- Matterhorn: Top Speed is 27 mph. Really laughable as far as fear-factor. No real drops, just baby dips. Butt-bruising experience as you glide around the interior of a snow mountain. Nice scenery and Yeti encounter.
2-Radiator Spring Racers (Not too scared of this one, but just in case): Top speed 40 mph (in spots) otherwise it just cruises along. Excellent scenery!
2-Star Tours (Just a 3D ride, but also in case): Top speed 0 mph. It's a simulator ride and the car pivots up and down to the video. Can induce motion sickness.
3-Indiana Jones Adventure: Top speed is like what, 8 mph? 10 mph? Lurch? Is lurch even a speed? lol Fear would only come from the visual effects as the ride is a what-if adventure in Driver's Ed.

-California Screamin (6)
-Space Mountain (5)
-Big Thunder Mountain (4)
- Matterhorn(4)
-Radiator Spring Racers (Not too scared of this one, but just in case)(3)
-Star Tours (Just a 3D ride, but also in case)(4)
-Indiana Jones Adventure(3)

So I have my votes

-California Screamin (7)
-Space Mountain (5)
-Big Thunder Mountain (4)
- Matterhorn(4)
-Radiator Spring Racers (Not too scared of this one, but just in case)(3)
-Star Tours (Just a 3D ride, but also in case)(4)
-Indiana Jones Adventure(3)

but it's very subjective.
I gave CS an 7 because I'm terrified of roller coasters and CS was the first coaster I ever went on. My anxiety waiting in line for the ride was through the roof!
My DD who barely made the height requirement did it and I thought to myself I need to set a good example of conquering ( irrational ) fears so I tried it.

It was AMAZING! While it is very fast, and goes upside down it feels very safe and it's a very smooth ride. There are some drops which is why I gave it an 7 but it's probably the best '7' you can get.

Space Mountain however I do not like. It's not the drops, it's the sharp turns in the dark that leave me with a terrible motion sickness feeling after. Even DH isn't fond. DD11 loves it.

The other two, BTM and MH barely rank as a scary ride imo. Not much in the way of drops, you can see where you are going etc. If you want to feel like the ride is a little slower, sit in the front car of Big Thunder.

RSR is smooth as can be, imagine driving down a road with some hills - you might get that little feeling in your tummy but that's about it.

Indy is fine, one drop that might give you a bit of tummy flutters but not too bad

Star Tours is less about drops and more about motion sickness. I love it but if you are susceptible to motion sickness this ride might trigger it. Sit in the middle on this one, as the sides tend to give you more movement sensation.

These are my own personal and piggybacking off of Kittyskyfish, but with my own spin on ratings.

10 = Modern hyper-coaster.

6-California Screamin: Top speed 62 mph. Steepest drop 108 ft. One inversion. Fun! The smoothest loop coaster I've ever been on. This is a lot of fun.
5-Space Mountain: Top speed 35 mph. No steep drops, just a lot of turning and dipping in the dark. Laser projections and music. Because it's in the dark it seems to go faster than it really does, but since there are no drops to speak of, just a fast ride in cool elements.
4-Indiana Jones Adventure: Top speed is like what, 8 mph? 10 mph? Lurch? Is lurch even a speed? lol Fear would only come from the visual effects as the ride is a what-if adventure in Driver's Ed.
4-Big Thunder Mountain:
Top speed 35 mph. No steep drops, just a lot of turning and dipping in broad daylight. Nice scenery. Another fast ride, but not as fast as you might think. My dad hated rollercoasters, but would ride Big Thunder.
3- Matterhorn: Top Speed is 27 mph. Really laughable as far as fear-factor. No real drops, just baby dips. Butt-bruising experience as you glide around the interior of a snow mountain. Nice scenery and Yeti encounter. This has a couple of 'fast' moments, but there are some where you really are just coasting. This is a lot of fun to go on, especially at night. The side near Fantasyland is smoother than the Tomorrowland side (that side has a small sharp dip). My daughter went on this when she was 3 (when she could sit in my lap), and was fine with it.
3-Radiator Spring Racers (Not too scared of this one, but just in case): Top speed 40 mph (in spots) otherwise it just cruises along. Excellent scenery! This is a great ride and combines 3 elements - scenic, dark ride, and a short fast race - this is fun.
3-Star Tours (Just a 3D ride, but also in case): Top speed 0 mph. It's a simulator ride and the car pivots up and down to the video. Can induce motion sickness.

For comparison, I would rate Casey Jr., Pirates as 2s, and It's a Small World, Train, etc., as 1s. I would rate Haunted Mansion between a 2 and 3 based on scare factor.... that is, until you rode it and saw it wasn't scary at all. :)

-Rock N' Roll Coaster -- I would give it a 5, but it's over so fast
-Mission: Space -- I would give it a 3

Calif. Screamin-6 fast, big drops, and inversoin
Space Mtn.-4 feels fast, just a lot of turns and dips in the dark
BTMRR-2 a few dips and turns
Matterhorn-2 not scary really, but it hurts!
Star Tours-3 ride simulator so more up and down, side to side
RSR-2 maybe? This ride is so much fun! It is only fast at the end when you are racing. You go over a couple of little bumps/hills.
IJ-4 pretty jerky, other than that not fast

As far as the WDW rides that you mentioned, Rock N Roller Coaster (IMO) was comparable to Calif. Screamin
Mission Space-it has two sides, green and orange. The green side was mild and fun-2, The orange side was not fun to me-7 or 8. You feel a LOT of G-force here!

Things in a list like this are very subjective but for me I would rate as follows:

-California Screamin: "6" Thrilling to be sure but very smooth and lots of fun.
-Space Mountain: "4" Some people say the darkness makes this ride scarier but for me was the opposite. Allowed me to stop being afraid of roller coasters.
-Big Thunder Mountain: "3" Super fun ride for all ages. Amazing ride.
- Matterhorn: "3" Super fun for all ages. Most negative comments are due to the "roughness" of the ride, but has never been an issue for me.
-Radiator Spring Racers : "3" Super fun for all ages. Speed may intimidate some but really really good ride.
-Star Tours : "4" Motion sickness is the potential negative for some on this ride but nothing I have ever had an issue with. Self professed Star Wars nerd so one of my favorites :)
-Indiana Jones Adventure: "5" I don't think this one is overly intense but have seen people been a little surprised by some of the effects. Awesome ride.
-Rock N' Roll Coaster: never been on ....YET
-Mission: Space: "7" or "3" depending on if you are doing the realistic one the toned down version. I always do the realistic version and love it but the G-forces do make me a touch antsy. Great ride.

The one not on your list that might deserve mention are

Splash mountain: "6" for the final drop
Tower of terror: "8" I do find this ride intimidating but will ride if I have to. Actually prefer WDW version due to the themed lead up to the actually dropping lol, takes your mind off what's to come.

We didn't ride all of those, but I will say that my 7 year old loved RSR, was a little scared but totally survived Matterhorn and Star Tours. Indiana Jones pretty much scarred her for life! She may need therapy after that one! LOL!

-Indiana Jones Adventure 4

How would you rank these DL rides based on intensity/ "scare factor", on a scale from 1 to 10?

-California Screamin DIDNT GO ON
-Space Mountain NOPE, KIDS SAID THE DROP BOTHERED THEIR STOMACHS
-Big Thunder Mountain 4.5 - i DON'T DO COASTERS...WENT ON THIS TWICE
- Matterhorn 3 - WHICH EVER SIDE THEY SAY IS ROUGHER (LEFT?) REALLY WAS. BROKE THE CAMERA MY HUSBAND HAD IN HIS POCKET. EVEN MY 8 YEAR OLD SAID IT WAS ROUGHER. HE LOVED IT, I LOVED IT
-Radiator Spring Racers (Not too scared of this one, but just in case) 5. I DIDN'T LIKE IT. MADE MY HEAD FEEL LIKE IT WAS GOING TO EXPLODE. IM NOT KIDDING. I THOUGHT TEST TRACK WAS EASIER TO GO ON EVEN THOUGH IT IS FASTER.
-Star Tours (Just a 3D ride, but also in case) I DON'T DO
-Indiana Jones Adventure 2 LOVED IT. COULD BE SCARY FOR A KID...

And I'm not going to DW anytime soon, and this isn't the DW forum, but if you have been there, could you rank these?

-Rock N' Roll Coaster NO WAY
-Mission: Space NO WAY JOSE

I am not a big fan of the stomach lurch caused by big drops. I don't find going fast, and little hills don't scare me. I do not get motion sick from spinning or turns or anything.

California Screamin: 6. It's the launch that gets me. After that, I'm generally fine. It's very smooth. Without the launch this would be a 4 maybe? A couple of big hills, and the loop, but it's so smooth.
Space Mountain: 3. I love this ride. It's also very smooth. I don't get motion sick, so the darkness doesn't bother me.
Big Thunder Mountain: 3. It's just fun.
Matterhorn: Scare factor: 3. My daughter was afraid of the old Yeti. Think Old Lady/Evil Queen jumping out in the Snow White ride. The actual ride motion isn't that scary. It's bumpy. So, so bumpy. There is not enough padding. My back and butt hurt after. The old cars were a million times better.
RSR: 2. It's moderately fast, and there are a few hills. My mother hated it. But she gets SUPER motion sick. Everyone else loved it.
Star Tours: 4. This one does make my stomach lurch in a way the others don't. But it's Star Wars! It's fun!
Indiana Jones Adventure: 3. My least favorite of the E-tickets. It's just so dang lurchy. I don't like lurchy. But it's not scary, really. It is fun. But DANG! If I wanted to lurch that much I'd teach one of my high school students to drive a stick shift.

Tower of Terror: 9. I hate this ride. The up. The down. The lurchy stomach. Ugh. I love the theming. Hate the ride motion. I "nope" this ride every time I go to the parks by myself.
Goofy's Sky School. 7. I also don't care for this one. Too much jerky lurching. Not enough other stuff to make it worthwhile. I rode this once. Don't think I'll ride it again.
Splash. 5. Hills. My stomach lurches. And I get wet. But I ride it anyway.
