If you had to eliminate one of these

I jumped the gun a bit when replying to this thread earlier. California Grill is in fact NOT a chain so given what I now know, I would add that back to the list and apologize for mis-directing you.

I do stand by the recommendaiton to nix MR though.

No problem.

I am surprised for all the votes for MM. I was hoping to get a fantasmic package and thought MM would be better choice over H&V.

I think we're going to try to get just 1 ADR for Christmas instead of 2. Also re-thinking getting ADR for Coral Reef or Maya Grill.

Anyone else??

Considering your reason for cancelling, I'd cancel Maya Grill. Pepper Market is a great food court. If you can't get into MG w/o a ressie, you aren't missing that much. After Maya Grill, my choices would be as follows:

The meals you have that I absolutely wouldn't cancel are:

Mama Melrose w/Fantasmic (Keep it for the reserved seating, during a busy time.)
LTT night of MVMCP (I'd keep this one above all others. Not really for the food, but the atmosphere is absolutely perfect for MVMCP.)
CRT (Great choice for Christmas morning.)

Next on my list to keep would be:

Jiko
California Grill

Both for food quality

HDDR (Unique & fun experience)
Afternoon Tea -Garden View Lounge (Another unique experience. If you have something similiar offered at home, you could scratch this one. Otherwise I'd keep it.)

Last tier would be:

Coral Reef (No real reason for not choosing this one. It just doesn't seem as special as the others do to me. However, I'd choose it over the two restaurants below.)
Le Cellier (IMHO, highly overrated on the DIS. Our meals have been very hit or miss there.)
1900 Park Fare (Only because you already have a Cindy meal that day.)

Whatever you decide, I hope you get everything you're hoping for. :wizard:

I hate to say it, because I think the other places I've dined at Grand Floridian are beautiful and have great, great food - but the afternoon tea is pretty disappointing. If you are an afternoon tea lover (and go to schmancy hotels), you will be saddened by the somewhat bland, stale and inadequate supply of pastries and finger sandwiches. My husband and I were all excited to be wowed - but ended up bummed out. Also, the space is tight without the usual comfy couches and chairs you would enjoy at a typical tea. Maybe we hit on a bad day?!

HDDR - don't care for that sort of thing OR
CRT - atmosphere is NOT worth it with the state of the food in there

Funny you should mention about Fantasmic as I too andlooking to do that package.

My wife and I did it 2 years ago and it was fabulous. I believe that we did H&V and enjoyed the food from what I recall and would want to give HBD a shot this time around.

1/2 of our nights are already filled because of the holidays but's another thread.

:)
