If you had to choose ONE favorite food item in all of WDW....

scones and cream at GF tea room!!!with mad hatter tea YUMMY!!We went last week and I just had to have more so I went to fresh market and got scones and devon cream!! I am enjoying them right now.....

My favorite food item during my one and only WDW trip was the bread service with dips at Sanaa. We had the Naan, Paratha, and Paneer Paratha with the Red Chile Sambal, Coriander Chutney, and the Roasted Red Bell Pepper Hummus. It was awesome.

Entree: Buffalo Filet at Artist Point! I haven't yet been to any other signature dining locations, but my oh my, did I drool over DH's buffalo!

Dessert: For flavor it's a tie between bread pudding at 'Ohana or Ger's Bread and Butter Pudding at Raglan Road. I give the edge to 'Ohana's because I can see the castle while I'm eating it!

My favorites are these:

1. The Filet Mignon with Mac & Cheese at Jiko
2. Chicken Lo Mein with hot Siracha sauce on the side at Yak & Yeti
3. Yak Attack alcoholic drink at Yak & Yeti
4. Potato & Pea Samosas with Tamarind Sauce at Sanaa

As crazy as it sounds, I LOVE the hot dogs at Casey' Corner in Main street at MK. I think it's the way they wrap the bun that keep it so warm.
That is all I craved when I was pregnant and although I visited the park twice during my pregnancy, my dr. told me that hot dogs were one of the things that pregnant women can't eat. I was sooo bummed.

Either Ohana's bread pudding or Yatchsman's french fries....so delicious!!

Salad dressing from Ohana.

They wouldn't need to mail me the whole salad - I can make my own salad - just as long as I have a steady supply of that gorgeous honey-key lime dressing to put on it.

And if, every once in a while, they wanted to enclose a big pan of the bread pudding with caramel banana sauce to pour over it, that would be nice too. :)

I have enjoyed reading this thread. I definitely want to try Jiko now so I can get the Filet and Mac and Cheese!

On a hot day (and I've only ever been to WDW in the blazing summer heat), if I had one Disney food item, I'd want a Dole Whip Float (the float part is what takes it from good to amazing). My husband and I bought one to split since we were trying it for the first time, and it quickly turned into watching each other to make sure no one was taking bigger spoonfuls than was his or her allotted share. :rotfl:

On a cold night tonight, I certainly wouldn't mind opening my door to find a steaming bowl of Le Cellier's cheese soup (complete with the bread, of course!)

Oh, and adding to the discussion about not liking things that are generally looked upon with favor: I bought one of those turkey legs everyone talks about, and after one bite, got rid of it (husband wouldn't eat it either). All I could taste was slimy fat. I cringe just to think about it, but I know many people love them! To each his own, indeed... :)

Love this thread!
Mine
Crystal Palace- the Salmon at the lunch buffet- the preparation and spices are amazing!!
LeCellier- Pretzel Bread
Cali Grill- filet and the view!
O'hana's - shrimp!
Tempan Edo- scallops
Germany- veal schinzel
Brown Derby- conunut crusted shrimp
MK- Dole Whip
UK-CS- fish and chips

Oh I guess I should stop -we have alot of favorites in our family!!

ok - first let me say that almost every bite i had at victoria and alberts was beyond amazing but it will be a long time before i can swing another visit there.... so...

on a more realistic note...

the potato chive potstickers at artist point at wilderness lodge were most definitely my (next) all time favorite food at wdw - possibly anywhere! omg those were sooooo good! ate there 2x during last trip - will be there at least 1 time during upcoming trip as well! yummmmmmmm!!!

I love the edamame salad on the buffet at Crystal Palace...still trying to find a recipe for that (anyone?).

i can't remember what it is but look on allears.net - they probably have it - there is an email address you can write to disney and ask for their recipe for any item that you love... i have done it and they were very willing to share! :)

My point again...our party of nine had our hopes way up on this one and when we finished last year, we just didn't get all all the fuss...We just didn't think it was "all that".

I have to agree, my cousin raved about it...I just didn't care for it at all.

My favorite is still the Cheddar Cheese soup form Le Cellier. YUMMO! Of course the pretzel breadsticks make this even better.

The Holiday Special Sandwich at Earl Of Sandwich. My whole family just loves this. When we go Jan 10, 2010...that's the first place we are eating at that day. Although I don't think we can get the Holiday Special since the holidays will be over..so I'll have to the turkey sandwich.

Okay, I know this is a weird one, but when I look back and think about the best thing I ate at WDW, the Sour Cream Pickled Herring at the Biergartan always comes to my mind. That paired with an Oktoberfest beer and I am totally in my happy place!!!

There are 3 things I must have on every trip: breakfast at Boma, and the Asian greens salad with seared ahi tuna (ordered "sashimi-rare") and grapefruit cake at Hollywood Brown Derby.

The single best dish I ever ate at WDW...and one of the best things I've ever eaten anywhere on the planet...was the poulet rouge with truffles, morels and peas at Victoria & Albert's. Too good to be called just "chicken."

Two things that I can't wait to eat again are.....

Calamari City - Salt and pepper calamari and mixed tempura vegetables served with a spicy remoulade. From Raglan Road. DTD.

Spicy Kazan Roll - Crab, shrimp, bay scallops, tuna, and fireball sauce. From California Grill at the Contemporary.
