If you had one night to dine at Disney....

Hi everyone! I'm trying to make a decision and I think you all can help me. My husband is an opera singer and he'll be performing in the New Smyrna area, and of course I'm going to visit him. We have APs so we thought one afternoon/evening we would go to Disney and eat at a nice place and watch one of the fireworks shows, not sure which. We went to Disney 3x in 2004, our most recent trip over Thanksgiving weekend, so we don't intend to spend a lot of time there (at least that's my intention...I may not be able to resist) but we would like a nice meal and a little Disney time. I'm only staying with him for a long weekend.

So - where to eat is the question. If you could magically be at Disney for one night, where would you dine? Elaborate a little.

Thanks!

Boma. The food is exceptional, the wait staff is very attentive, the wines are very good. I LOVE Boma!

I would say Yachtsman Steakhouse or Fultons....however what about California Grill? We've never eaten there, but you can see the fireworks show from there.

I'd have to pick BlueZoo at the Dolphin. We went there in October and loved it. It's now one of our must do's in the future.

Jiko or Citrico's. Both have great food, wine and service and are beautiful restaurants. My two favorite places at WDW.

California Grill - The food and the view are wonderful!

Another vote for California Grill!! Food is wonderful! And the view ain't to bad either! ;)

My vote is California grill

OR

Take a picnic dinner to the beach at the poly and watch the fireworks from there? a bottle of wine.. some cheese and fruit..some nice bread from the bakery?

yummy.. and sounds kinda romantic to me.

very good suggestions...thank you guys.

to Mama2: I see how your mind works. No wonder you have 2 kids. LOL. Great idea.

It's looking like CA Grille is popular. We've been there twice, liked it a lot. We did consider Yachtsman Steakhouse too.

Love the suggestions. Keep em' coming.

I have to put in a plug for lunch--I would eat at The Land's Grill (although I think it is closed for some period do to Soarin'). I absolutely LOVE their food and especially their salad dressing For dinner, in a park, I would go to the French Restaurant just in time for Illuminations...they open all the windows and it is beautiful. For a more reasonably priced meal, I would go to the Italian sit down restaurant--we ate there last trip and LOVED it!
If you don't need to go to the parks, my personal favorite is the downstairs (I believe it is the cafe) of Wolfgang Pucks! It is awesome food and you can sit right out by the water...try the Pumpkin ravioli--they are incredible!

My vote is for Wolfgang Puck's The Dining Room in Downtown Disney. Wonderfull food and service.

California Grill and Jiko at AKL honorable mentions

My vote is for Flying Fish. The food, service and decor are all wonderful. The Boardwalk is a nice place to hang out for awhile after dinner.

We just ate at Narcoossee's at GF. It was good and you can see fireworks from there. The restaurant is over the lagoon. I had salmon.

I also like California Grill - good food and good view.

I would pick Jiko. Arrive a little early and you can do some unique shopping at the Zawadi Marketpalce. When you're through with dinner, tour the beautiful AKL and view the animals. I think Jiko is one of the best and most unique restaurants on property. :D

My vote would be Narcoosees's. Food and service were outstanding, and between courses we were able to watch Wishes from the patio outside Narcoosees. The music was piped in too. It was really a special evening.

Ohana's with a castle view. Great food. Great service. Great view.

I would have to say Narcossee...great food and view of wishes!:wizard: :wizard:

How about dinner at Le Cellier and then IllumiNations? I think that would be delicious, romantic and pretty feasible... Where will you be staying?
Good luck no matter what you choose!
