If you had an extra $50 to spend at Disneyland...

Here's the long story- I have misplaced my gift cards. I registered them on disneygiftcard.com, but no one could do anything for me without the full gift card number. After an hour of calling Target and them back and forth, I realized my only option is to buy another card and transfer the balance of the other ones.

Because target only sells $50 and $100, I figure I'll buy the $50 and we'll have a little extra (has to be bought from same network in order to transfer balances apparently..so buying a $15 card from Disney store wouldn't work, I was told.)

Now the question is, what to do with it! I know it's not a lot of money for some, but we had budgeted our per day spending to be about $80/day, so an extra $50 will be fun to have! Note: it is just my husband and me, and this is just for dining/whatever else in park. Would you put it towards a TS meal (I don't care for Blue Bayou or Carthay), buy more treats and snacks, buy a cool souvenir? :D

Well, my first impulse would be to save it for any budget surprises on this trip. Things can total higher than expected, so it would be nice to have a cushion. But if you do want to spend it, how about a relaxing time in the Carthay Circle Lounge? The cocktail menu and lounge menu are quite nice.

What's a treat for you guys? Do you like fancy food, beer or his & hers mugs?

I would go for either a late afternoon snack or drink in a place I wouldn't normally try or a souvenir for the home.
I like 'experiences' myself. We seldom talk about the hoodie we brought home but we do reminisce about the lunch at Trader Sam's or drinks at the Cove.

We definitely were thinking about the Cove Bar! Which place has the better food in your opinion?

That's a good idea- we pretty much knew what we wanted to eat and that's how we figured out how much we'd need, but it's true there's often something unexpected. The lounge seems nice! I've seen the cool ice spheres they do for the drinks; pretty awesome!

I'd probably go for a souvenir, myself. We love getting Disney things for the home, like picture frames or kitchen goods that we can see every day to remind us of our trip.

I'd buy a print or some kind of artwork to take home. My favorite types of reminded of our trips.

I'd just be happy to have it and go with the flow. You never know when you may feel like a treat. Also, it's a nice buffer to have in case things cost more than you expected. $50, sadly, doesn't go far, especially at Disneyland.

I think I would spend it either on good food or towards one of the beautiful paintings or miniatures I have seen in the parks.

Actually, I think maybe I would splurge on a ride photo or two. I would love to have more of these, but I typically cannot justify the prices to myself.

Oh I know! Our original amount was enough for counter service and one table service, and one treat for each of us a day. I looked everything up where we're going and we split meals a lot (also one night we're eating not at Disney and using cash not included in our original count)- so i think we should be ok. But it's definitely nice to have in case we want more treats :D

I would buy something I would not normally buy! Cool Christmas decorations, a Disney sweatshirt...
