what do you do?
I have thick curly hair. I brought in a photo. It was a basic bob. The whole time she was cutting my hair the stylist kept asking me what do I think, does this seem like the right length, etc. I told her I don't know, i'm not terribly good at this, that's why i brought in the photo. It looks nothing like the photo, not angled like it or anything. I have a clump of bangs. She asked me before I left it was short enough. I said I didn't know, it didn't look right. So she told me to come back on Friday if I wanted it shorter.
Like I said I have curly hair. For a styling product she used some sort of spray. No gel, no mouse or something that calms my naturally curly bordering on frizzy hair. I came home and put a bunch of the products I use on it. I"m going to give it a day to settle. But i'm really not happy. I can't live with the bangs the way they are and really would like it angled the way the pic showed. I'm not upset that my hair doesn't look like the photo. I understand everybody's hair is different. But this isn't even really cut like it.

I had one once, at Mario here in IL. I went back and asked for a different stylist and got it fixed, it was shorter then I had originally intended but it was great in the end. The first time I looked like a mushroom. I HATED IT!

Go get it fixed, you'll be a happy girl!

I have thick, curly hair, too, and I really hate when a stylist with straight hair has no comprehension whatsoever that my hair will not react the same way as hers. I had one woman who kept insisting that my hair needed to be layered. I finally told her if she didn't quit trying to layer it, I'd be leaving right now. When my hair is layered, it clumps and looks stupid. I'm 42 years old--believe me, I know how my hair looks best and I've tried all their suggestions. :rotfl:

I made one girl cry who kept insisting that she could make my curls look better using their fantastic products. She kept combing and combing my hair--which makes it frizz out like a house afire. When she saw what it looked like, she went to her supervisor and I heard her say, "She had beautiful hair when she came in and now look at it!" The supervisor said, "What did she want you to do to her hair." The girl explained how wrong I was and her supervisor said, "Why don't you just do what she asked and believe what she tells you?"

Now I have a very simple straight cut and all they have to do is trim it. And if they layer it, I'm breaking their fingers. :teeth:

If I were you, I'd go back and ask for another stylist--preferably one with curly hair--and ask them to fix it or at least what they can do to make it better.

I love Mario. My sister lives in Illinois and always goes there and when I visit so do i.

yep that's what it was. She had no clue how to manage curly hair. She kept asking me about the layers. I told her I needed some layers but they needed to be long and not too many.
