Was there a brass band on Main Street? I don't know the size or anything, but DS has a friend who played with him at DL, and she said she was playing in, I think it's called, the Magic Kingdom Main Street Band-supposedly a special brass band for the Christmas season. She plays French horn. I never heard of it on regular days, so I was wondering if it was a special band just for the MVMCP events.

disney does host school bands throughout the year, that is all i know. I don't remember one when we were there but it doesn't mean it wasn't there.

I didn’t see it myself but I heard something about some school band leading the first parade over the loud speakers on main street as I was going to another part of the park on 1st Dec.

That sounds like it might have been it! It definitely wasn't a school band (she's in college, and has already had previous "gigs" performing for Disney). If there was a brass band on a float, that was probably where she was-thanks! When I got back, DS was wondering if I'd seen her, and where she was performing.

Joking aside, sorry I checked all the photos I took that night (1st Dec) and I was sure I taken one of the brass band and the bands on the floats but I can't find them

Saw a brass band playing on Main Street yesterday a couple of times. There were about 5 guys dressed in jean overalls and plaid shirts. Saw them once playing on a corner, and later in the afternoon in the street near the Emporium.
