Earlier this AM, Katlyn's dad, Vince's father-in-law, Charlie, passed away, after a year long fight with cancer, an all too young 59.

Last year, very shortly after they returned from their wedding cruise, Charlie was diagnosed with cancer. He gave it the fight, chemo, radiation, but in the end, he has passed.

A couple weeks ago, knowing that time was seemingly running short, Katlyn had her dad accompany her to one of her OB ultrasounds, so her dad could share some of that joy of being a grandparent (they are expecting their first in early August). She said he was enthralled. Their little one would be Charlie's first grandchild. Sad he will not be here in person for that, but certainly will be in spirit and memories.

Please do keep Katlyn, Vince and her family and Charlie's friends in your good thoughts, he was a good guy, I enjoyed the couple years I had the pleasure of knowing him.

So sorry for your loss. Prayers coming your way. I truly believe he will be there in spirit for his 1st grandchild. My DGD is 5 months old and "talks" to someone she sees on the ceiling. I believe it is my Gram.
