What would you want them to build? What kind of theme etc! Discuss!!

I think I would pick something with a castle theme. It could have a big swimming pool (moat) around the outside. I could just picture the room with this theme. They could take some ideas from the Cinderella suite.

What about you?

I've posted this before on other threads of this nature, but I would love to see a resort themed to characters.

Each floor or building of the hotel would be themed to a specific character/movie. For example, a Fab Five building/floor with bedspreads that boast Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald and Goofy. Special knobs on the draws and hooks made of Mickey hands.

Then there could be a 100 Acre Wood building/floor with Pooh and the gang - hunny pots for knobs/handles even a hunny pot lamp.

A princess building/floor with the necessary frills and pink colors.

A Disney heroes building/floor with the likes of Hercules, Aladdin and Tarzan.

A Disney villians building/floor - can you imagine a bed made to look like Ursula's tentacles?? Cool!

Of course there would have to be way to actually reserve the theme you want or there will be lots of disappointed kids/parents/couples, etc.

Oh, and this should be a MK resort!

Scanne I really like that idea!
I would like to see a new Deluxe. If I had to choose I would go with a Pirates theme. Some of the rooms could have bunk beds easily with that theme. They could design all the rooms to look like the inside of a pirate ship. Without a doubt near a lake not sure how much room there is at Seven Seas Lagoon? I think it would be best searved as an MK resort though I would love for it to be close to MGM and EP instead just because those are our favorites lol. This would also give us the oppurtunity for a pirate character meal.

Either:

The Hollywood Tower Hotel (only for real...all Twilight Zoney and creepy)

OR

The Haunted Hotel (aka a take off of the Haunted Mansion).

I vote for a Haunted Mansion type hotel too. I would vote for a Tower of Terror hotel but I'd be afraid of stepping in the elevator.

Those get my vote!!!:thumbsup2

Haunted Hotel gets my vote! I really hope they make this!

Another park/hotel idea that I had for a while...

I could never understand why George Lucas never cashed in on an amusement park of his own. Sure, we have Star Tours, but the license could be used more effectively. I opt for a Star Wars hotel as well!!! popcorn::

Heck, the way Disney has been cashing in on the Princess themes lately, I bet they could do a whole hotel with them. Maybe one floor or wing for each princess. The Princes could certainly be included, so little brothers won't be too left out. I guarantee that such a hotel would be booked solid months ahead of time.

I should add a disclaimer that I have three daughters, so I may be under the influence.

I would use the space on the Monorail, between CR and TTC for a "Main Street" resort. It would be a good replica of Main Street in the MK, but full-sized with hotel rooms, some with balconies, Interesting names on the windows, the whole nine-yards.

I think that a Ski Chalet/Rocky Mountain type report next to Blizzard Beach in the area between BB, CSR, and MGM would be cool. You could call it the Mt. Gushmore Resort.

What a great idea!!! I love it and would definitely want to stay in a resort like that. Make sure they add in lots of hidden Mickey's. :)

Hey everyone I'm new to the boards. I'm a big fan of The Little Mermaid. So I think it would be cool if they made Prince Eric & Ariel's palace. The pool would have Under the Sea fish, Seabastian, and Flounder next to it! The quiet pool would have Ursula dipping her tentacles over the edge.

I'd love to see one themed like a castle from the Disney movies, like Cinderella's castle and like the one in DL, sort of Swiss or German themed. It wouldn't have to be as "elegant" as Cinderella's castle is inside, just like a Bavarian theme like inside Snow White's Cottage.

I don't care about the theme so much, but I would LOVE to see a resort built on the monorail line between the TTC and Epcot. The location would be fabulous!

I think an asian, indian, or moroccan type would be cool. I love the resorts that look like different areas of the world.

I would want the disney resort to be a pet friendly hotel and have it themed to disney pets...pluto, figaro ect....I would love to bring my babies with me but don't want to keep them in a kennel all day while I'm having fun.

I always liked one of the original resort ideas that they had for a Venetian resort. It could have waterways with gondolas floating on them. I think it could be so cool.

Wow, I love all these ideas!!

I hear you about a pet friendly place. Wish they had a doggy daycare (read: different than a kennel) at Disney! I would consider driving up with my Westie in tow!

I'm new, too, but my DH and I have talked about this. We think there should be a new, motorhome-only campground. Call it Donald's Dude Ranch. Allow long-term stays (for snow birds), or sell the sites like DVC properties.
