If you could only do one>>>>>>

Definitely Chef Mickey's. They have the famous Mickey Waffles. Cereal "bar". All the fruits, sweets, meats, and breakfast creations you can imagine. Plus, Atrium in the Contemporary is a pretty cool place. Monorail is right inside. So eat , then take a lap over to the MK for a wonderful day. We like to go straight from breakfast , monorail, to Disney Railroad. We get off the railroad at Toon Town Fair and the girls get face paint done across from the big top. This gives loads of time to digest breakfast and get face paint early to be on your photopass all day long. Plus, most people work from front to back so it isn't crowded in the back of Cinderella's Castle.

Obviously in the minority here, but I couldn't stand Chef Mickey's. It reminded me of eating in a college dorm cafeteria (alot of people= LOUD and impersonal.) If your kids happen to be ones who are easily overstimulated, I think CM would be a nightmare. I also wasn't thrilled the waitress gave DS2 a cupcake (without even asking us) at 10am. I'm all for vacation junk food and all, but I'd have preferred I made the choice about what he'd have for breakfast.

Our favorite was the Pooh breakfast at Wilderness Lodge that they discontinued (grrr!) Next favorite would likely be Ohana's. Family-style service is a plus too- you're not up at the buffet when a character comes around.

....The good thing about Crystal Palace is if you get a reservation for 1 hour before park opening, you can enter MK early, and already be there when the park opens. It is kind of cool to see the MK empty....

I was going to say this too. We loved being in the empty park!! And we were very happy with the meal - the buffet had a lot of variety, and the character interaction was really good.

Love Chef Mickeys for the characters and the Contemp. Resort but like getting MK all to myself when i go to the Crystal palace (and the food is good there too!).

I guess I'm really in the minority here, but our favorite is breakfast at Cape May at the Beach Club. We have been to most of the character meals and this is the only one that is a must do on every trip. We have always had the best character interaction here. And the food is yummy!

I vote #1 Ohana, #2 Chef Mickey!

Chef Mickey's! its the best. Both my boys loved CRT too (mostly the atmosphere and the sword) but Chef Mickey's is a must!

We went last year with DS 4 and DS 8 months. Their favorite one was O'Hana. My youngest loved the fact he could see and touch Mickey Mouse, and my youngest absolutely adored meeting Pluto and Stitch. Our family enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and the quietness of the restaurant.

We also ate at the Crystal Palace and the Hollywood & Vine Playhouse Disney meal. Our kids were happy at all the meals. You will be happy no matter which one you choose. :flower3:

My family only ever did Chef Mickey's, but since we couldn't get in there over spring break, we hit up Ohana instead. I was pleasantly surprised at how relaxed everything was. Mickey, Pluto, Lilo, and Stitch were around quite often and they had a little parade featuring the characters and the kids. I would go again the next time we're down there (while hitting up the classics as well)

I have to echo the sentiments of others...Chef Mickey. Although the food won't knock your socks off...the characters are wonderful and so enthusiastic. Your kids will love it!
