If you could have a 5 minute conversation with your pet....

I would tell her that I will always love her, that I wish she would come home, and that the door will always be open for her if she ever decides to come home and that if she ever needs me, just call out so I can hear her and I will come running to her. :(

Well, I would definately talk to the cats since I basically know how the dog thinks . . .:p

I would definately ask my cats why they feel the need to chew on and break the kids cd headphone wires, I cannot tell you how many headphones we have been through in the past year alone. I would also ask them why they feel the need to be nocturnal and run around the house calling each other in the wee morning hours, and if they have to do that, why don't they answer the other ones calls? They know they are being looked for, but yet they pretend they don't hear the constant meow's. And last but not least, I would tell them that if they need to hack up something to do it on the tile floors rather than on the carpeting.

Leave the squirrels alone! I would repeat that for the whole 5 minutes because I assume they would be as hard headed as the children so if it's repeated a million times maybe they would get it. :p

I would tell the clown fish to stop fighting and being so territorial over the anemone.:(

I have two clownfish that will not share the anemone. They have to drive each other away and hang out there alone. If I had known, I never would have bought either of them.;)

I would tell my cat, Disney, that I don't like when he bites me, so stop that! I would also tell him that I don't want him up on the kitchen counters, but I suspect he already knows that and just doesn't care. I would also tell him that his toys do not like to go for a swim in his water dish and all that does is ruin his toys and ruin his water. Finally I would tell him how much I love him always.

By the way, this thread reminded me about a dream I had a couple of months ago where Disney talked to me. He opened his little mouth and said "My butt hurts." I wonder what Freud would say about that!

I would ask him if his teeth hurt, since he is chewing on everything he can get his little mouth around right now!

And I would tell him that eating his own vomit is gross. And I would tell him he could have the run of the house all day if he could promise to not shred our books or chew up wires.

And I would ask him which walk he prefers the most, and why he barks at the dogs that could crush him with one paw but ignores the little yippy ones.

And I would ask if he misses his playmates from his former house :(

I would spend the entire 5 minutes trying to get my female cat to understand that she must bathe herself! I'd tell her that her dad and I really, truly don't enjoy doing her "dirty work" for her, and that most felines WANT to keep themselves clean. Then, I'd ask her why she yells at us so much. Have we done something wrong? I'd tell her that bathrooms are generally private places, and that I DON'T usually need her "help" while I'm in there. Then I'd tell her how much I adore her, and how I couldn't imagine my life without her!

I'd like to talk to my male cat, too, but I'm sure that he'd be too tired to deal with me, LOL! He sleeps like 23 3/4 hours a day! I would wake him up to tell him how much I love him, though. But I do that anyways every day:teeth:

I would tell our cat that "Yes, we are very proud of you that you are a natural born hunter, but could you leave the mice out in the yard and not on the front porch".

We just put our dog to sleep Friday night. So I would just like to be able to ask her if she was as sick as we thought. Or if she would get better. And if not that we love her & she was a wonderful dog. That we are sorry if we neglected her a bit when the new baby came, but we hope she understood. That we will miss her and hope to meet her in the future again. :(

This is quite a thread. Some of these make me laugh out loud , and some make me really sad :sad1:.

Posthumously, I would tell her that we loved her bunches and miss her so very, very much :(

My cat died in 2003 but if I could talk to his ghost/spirit (whatever you would like to call it) I would ask him questions...

Exactly why do you turn on the kitchen and stairway lights?

What exactly were you running from when you flew over the banister and onto my head?

Why did you get so mad at the out door alley cat to the point you busted through the window screen?

When my grandma accidentally let you loose, what did you do with you 6 hours of freedom? And what made you come back?

Why weren't you ever interested in the fish aquarium?

When the family went on trips to Disneyland why would you corner my mom's best friend in the house and hiss at her? She was only trying to feed you.

How long did you know there was a salamander in the house?

Why was my grandpa the only man you would sit on? And why were you fascinated with his shoes?

With my pet frog I only have one question ...

What keeps happening to the snails that clean your tank? They magically disappear ever few weeks. You can't be eating them because they are 2 times bigger then you.

Thank you ... I can't bare to get another cat still but when I feel better I think we are going to take the alley cat (look at previous post) in, the lady that lived down the street died about 5 years ago and her kids didn't take her cat so it just lives in the alley and is starting to hang around our place more and more b/c we are the only ones that feed it.

Back to the lights... It scared us very much when we first got him ... we'd come home at night and think someone was in the house until we were all witness' to his talent.

Do tell. How did the kitty accomplish this???

I have a 13 year old boxer with arthritis and some sort of cancer. I would ask her if she was in pain. She doesn't act like it but I would really like to know the answer to that question. I would also tell her how much she means to all of us. We will be lost without her.
