I do understand his appeal because he is very knowledgeable about menus and, at the time of our service, the background of the Lodge. Under the right conditions, I think he'd be a lovely server to have, and no one can say he isn't friendly. However, for us, we were very familiar with both the menu, AP, and the Lodge (we were married there), and despite us telling him so, we still got the entire spiel. As did all the other tables next to us (ergo, so did we). To be fair, we didn't hate him, and in fact, we enjoyed him for the first half hour or so. I'm actually glad to see him doing well. Thanks for the update on him!We were really taken with his. . . antics, lol. I suppose if had affected our meal the way it did yours we might have felt differently, but he knew the menu very well, and everything was right on time. Yes, really funny though I agree!
Seems there's no end to the Izzy stories!Izzy from Staten Island is very memorable. In fact he's the only CM who's name I recall after a 2 week trip. He and the man swapped stories about the good old days in NYC hotels and restaurants.
