I didn't sign up when they sent the original email because I wanted to learn more about it first. Within the last few days dh and I have both gotten applications. I can't seem to find the answer to my question, and yes, I did do a search on the dis.;)
My question is this:
How long is the redemption certificate good for? Does it expire? Since we can't just hop over to any Disney parks for the weekend I'm wondering if this is ok.--- Can we redeem points one year for park hopper passes (since they don't expire), redeem the next years points certificate for a vacation scheduled for the following year?
Thanks!

The "sample" rewards certificates they have on the BankOne site (the manage rewards section that you can only see if you have the card), the certificates have an expiration date of Dec. 31, 2004. Assuming the real certificates are the same, it would appear that they are good for over a year and a half. I think it would be no problem to use some certificates for a park hopper one year, then use more certificates the next year for other parts of the vacation.

I thought that I recalled reading that the cerficates were good for 5 years.

From what I understand, the points expire after five years. I'm assuming that you can accumulate points, and then order the certificates before your trip. I'm not sure how you would use them to pay for your hotel on a trip. If you wanted to get passes in advance, I'm guessing you could get the Disney Store ones and purchase the passes there.

Hope this helps.
