do they mail you paper tickets or is it something you print up right on your computer. My son broke my printer recently  so obviously that would be a problem.

Ok, while I'm at it one more question. Once the promotional fares for a particular flight are gone are they ever offered again. The flight we were interested in only has the high fares available but I'm wondering if the promo fares will be offered again, perhaps in their weekly specials. Otherwise, I should go ahead and book a different flight, which would be later in the day. With 3 kids though we really would want to fly nonstop (we would be going from Manchester or Providence).

I am very new at all of this so thanks in advance for any help!! :D

I think they would prefer it of you brought a print out of your itinerary with you, but if you cant, they will print out your boarding passes at the counter. You would just need to show pictue ID for all the people in your party. It also means you would have to check nin and check your bags at the counter instead of curb side.

As far as the fares are concerned, the only thing I can tell you is check very, very regularly. I have seen fares go up and down within the same day. I always fly out of PVD and within 48 hours recently, my fare for Oct went from $750 to as low as $440 for three passengers. As a matter of fact, as soon as we decie to go, I start checking daily and when I find something I like, I go ahead and book it. Keep checking even afterward though, if your fare drops, you can always rebook it and get a credit torward your next purchase (within the next year).

When you ultimately make your reservation, they will give you options, one of them is that they will send you your eticket via snail mail. You can also opt to have your itenary sent to a friend via email and they could print it out for you.
Sometimes the promo fares come back, it is hard to guess what they will do.
You might also check fares to Tampa, it is an easy ride to Disney from there about 1 hour.

You can curb your luggage with any ticket media except hard tickets. She can also have her eticket mailed to her. All these options are on the reservation screen.

You really don't need anything but the confirmation number that pops up on the screen. I have tried to go paperless in my life and have never had a problem with SWA and no hard copy print out. The only thing they do with that print out is take the confirm # off of it to pull up your ressie. Most of the time I don't even bother to give them the confirm number. I just hand them my driver's license and they ask where I am headed and they just pull it up and hand me boarding passes. No fuss. No muss.

In the past I've always (ISP,MCO,LAS) been able to curb check luggage with hard tickets (RR). Having to pay that security fee got you into the system.

I always bring it just in case. After 9/11 they required it, never saw that they changed it, obviously they did, and I just bring it with all the other paper reservations. Better safe than sorry is my motto.

Thanks Lewis, that is good to know. I just use etickets, I love em. More so now that princess told me you no longer need the print out.

SW doesn't (yet) offer etickets for rr (rapid rewards, frequent flyer tickets). Have to use a "real" ticket.

If OP is still reading this thread, you can buy a decent printer for under $100. Epson and Cannon tend to have lower operating costs (consumables) than HP and Lexmark.
