If you book before FD and discount codes are you stuck?

If I book now for September 2012 before they offer FD or any other discount codes on the room what do I do when/if codes come out? Am I stuck with my original booking with no offers? Do I call back and let them know I know want to apply the discounts they offer to my booking? I'm new at this and need some advice! Anything would be much appreciated from my fellow disboardians

If you book a room only reservation and want to switch to a package offer then you will need to cancel, and rebook. If you book a package and want to switch to a package deal or a room only offer then they can apply the discount to your package (or just the room portion if wanting to apply a room only discount). They can do this if there is availability for your hotel for the discounted rate. They only have a set number of discounted rooms per promotion. As long as there is availability for your hotel and dates then it will be no problem to add the discount should one become availabe.
