I found out tonight that my grandfather (in his 80s) has been hospitalized with an abdominal aneurysm. He is being transfered tomorrow morning from Oseola Regional to the Orlando Hospital to have surgery. If you believe in prayers, please keep him and my grandmother in your thoughts. I was lucky enough to visit with them last week while we were at WDW and they looked so good. I hope the aneurysm does not burst and that they are able to get it repaired tomorrow.

Thanks for any thoughts and prayers that you can share.

My step-dad had an abdominal aneurism that was caught in time. He had a long surgery and recovery but he is fine now. He was in his mid 50s at the time. Prayers for your grandfather....

I just prayed for your grandparents

I believe.. thoughts and prayers are with your grandfather and family. :grouphug: Praying for your grandfather to recover from this.

My husband was not the lucky one. It was not caught in time. They did an autopsy and it was heart anuerysm.

Prayers for your grandfather and family. :grouphug:

Ahh Sweetie, positive thoughts and prayers for your dear grandfather's upcoming surgery tomorrow and also grandma ((hugs)). Glad you got to spend some time with them recently.

I have a good friend who was out celebrating his 70th BD and was rushed to the hospital in extreme pain. He was flown to Wash Hosp Center immediatley and drs performed a life saving abdominal aneurysm surgery. They said he definitely had his guardian angel with him as his a was the size of a baseball :guilty:. He had quite a period of recovery, did great and is fine today.

So miracles do happen and I pray your GD has a successful surgery and recovery.

 Fantasia, I remember your dear hubbie's illness, I am so sorry. :sad1:

I do believe in prayers, and I will keep your Grandpa in mine. Please keep us updated on his condition.

God Bless!!!!

Sending prayers. An elderly co-worker had this surgery done a couple of years ago. She had a long recovery but did very well.

Thank you all... My grandfather was transferred today to Orlando but did not yet have the surgery. They are running more tests. It's hard to get accurate information. My grandmother is in her 80s and is understandably nervous and sometimes I hear info 3rd or 4th hand through my dad or one of my aunts. Apparently, the aneurysm isn't as big or bursting is not as emminent as we thought it might be yesterday. I hope to know soon what they decide to do about the surgery. I really appreciate the thoughts and prayers!!!

I hope everything goes well with him.. Just hang in there. Thoughts and prayers.. :grouphug:
