We are going to WDW for the first time in Oct. We didn't do the dining plan and hope to just do cheaper counter service meals most of the time. I would like to plan 1 or 2 ADRs though just in case.

We do have reservations for breakfast with Cinderella in the castle. I have 2 girls, ages 4 and 6, and one is scared of characters dressed up in costume where you can't see their face. My mom is also going with us. Where would be a good place to make a dinner ADR? I'm hoping to find somewhere with atmosphere, good food and not too expensive. Can be at any of the parks. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated!:goodvibes

I would do the Princess Breakfast in Norway...the food is very good and the Princess interaction with our nieces was wonderful.

I picked breakfast because the menu appealed to us more than lunch or dinner

Nearly all of the WDW restaurants are going to be kid friendly. Since you probably don't want to do another character meal, I think it will depend on what kind of food you like.

"fun" places would be: 50's Prime Time in MGM, Whispering Canyon Cafe in the WL, and 'Ohana at the Polynesian. Whispering Canyon and Ohana both have activities for the kids to do as part of the dining experience.

Most of the Epcot restaurants would be good to try at lunch... which will save you some momey. We are fond of Les Chefs de France.

You might also consider Boma for supper on the night you do Animal Kingdom. The lodge is really beautiful.

My kids have loved the Biergarten (Germany - EPCOT), and the Coral Reef (also in EPCOT) for as long as I can remember. They love the show in the Biergarten, plus the variety of food available. They love looking at the fish tank in the Coral Reef. I just asked DD12 for her answer to this question and she said Biergarten or Coral Reef. DS8 says Boma at AKL. This has become a new favorite of our children since our trip last year. It's a buffet with a real variety of foods available. ::MinnieMo
