If we volunteer to get bumped on our Flight

I've got 2 sets of Continental vouchers right now. Continental offers for X dollars. If you don't use it all on one ticket, they issue a new voucher for the unused amount.

That said, for vacay trips, I check my FF rewards as well as the dollar amounts on trips. Sometimes I can get low mileage rewards for a $$$$ trip. And sometimes vice versa. The only drawback to vouchers is that you MUST reserve travel within one year.

We only accept Delta Dollars when we give our seats up. They are just like cash. We also have never gotten less than $400 each. You can use part of that $400 for one flight and the remaining balance is still yours to use another time. The only problem with Delta Dollars is you have to book at an airline counter or call-in and then take your Delta voucher into the nearest airport. So, they end up getting you for the $15 booking fee too. However, there are no restrictions as to what you can use the Delta Dollars for.

My understanding is that Delta has fixed the problem and you can now book online with them. I have not bumped in a while so I have not confirmed this.
