If we pay cash instead of using our points, any discounts?

We got a great deal on airfare (49.00 AirTran) so we're taking an extra trip in May but we're out of points and don't want to borrow. If we want to stay at a DVC resort, like OKW and pay cash are there any kind of discounts we can get since we're DVC members?

Members get 25% off of rack rates, but the discount is only offered if DVC projects that it will not be able to rent out all of the room for members booking on points. In May, it seems likely you would be able to get a room at OKW with the cash discount.

You may want to look into renting points from another member, though. For weekday stays, paying $10 per point is likely to cost you less than the member discount.

It's my understanding that DVC members receive a 25% discount when reserving a DVC resort on a cash basis.

That's a very cheap airfare by the way. Could easily make anyone want to take an extra trip to Disney just because!

If you are an AP holder you may also try Disney Reservations for "room only rates using AP discounts," as they have some reasonable rates for moderate and/or deluxe resorts, I was able to book a rate of $104 nightly at POR in March, which is apparently during peak season!

Otherwise, you may wish to try renting points from another member and paying them $9-10 per point, then they can simply transfer them to your account.

A reminder that if you use the member discount, you will gett membe housekeeping -- just like when staying on points.

I'd do a combination. Either try for an AP or Member discount for the weekend nights and rent points/transfer points for Sunday through Thursday. If you're staying in a studio, $9.00 to $10.00 a point for Sunday through Thursday will probably beat any discount on cash for the same type unit. Of course, if you have an AP, trying for a moderate with the discount is an option too.
