If we check in on Saturday....

We arrive late Friday night. My tihnking was, stay at a cheaper hotel Friday, move over to one of the Universal Resorts Saturday morning. My question is, will we be able to use the Express PLus by staying at the resort for Saturday and Sunday?

Absolutely.

Check in as early as you want on Saturday morning. Even if your room is not ready yet, the hotel will issue your room keys. You room key is you FOTL pass.

Store your luggage with the bellhop and head out to the parks. Leave your cellphone number with the front desk and they will call you when your room is ready.

No need to return to the front desk. They will give you your room number and your keys will be activated. Stay at the parks as long as you like and just head back to your room when you are finished.

When you check out on Sunday, keep your room keys. They are good for FOTL until the park closes that night.

Again you can leave your luggage with the bellhop and head out to the parks.

Also remember to sign up for the Loews First card. It is free and will get you a few extra amenities.

I have a similar question. We are staying at RPR for 3 nights, and have a 7 day pass. We move to a condo for the remaing 4 nights. The first night, we'll be there after the park closes. So I can FOTL for the next three days, including the check out day, correct? What if I decide to come back during the remainder of my stay? Since I'm not technically on site anylonger, and we still have passes, do we still have FOTL or do we need to upgrade or just not worry about it since it's a slower time of year?

Your FOTL passes are good from the minute you check-in to park closing of the day you check out. So, yes, you will have FOTL for the full 3 days.

After you move to the condo you will not have FOTL. Your passes are not what gives you FOTL, it is your room keys. And your room keys will have the date you check-out imprinted them, so you will not be able to use them on the days after you check-out. More often than not, they do check the room keys before you enter the Express Line.

Thanks for the heads up! Makes sense and I thought it would be that way. Most I've talked with said that the parks are not as busy when we plan to be there and most lines will not be too crazy compared to a holiday or summer month.
