If Universal plays it's cards right...

It is so bizarre to me that people would take the time out of their day to come over here and say they're never going to Universal and blah blah blah.

No one cares.

Some people have a need to make the world think like they do.

Some people have a need to cause controversy

Some people are very closed minded about the things they like/don't like

Some people do care or the discussions wouldn't occur over and over again.

Personally, I like a spirited debate. It is unfortunate that there are too many people who take debate personally and can't discuss concepts.

And of course, to quote Professor Quirrel "Troll! In the dungeon!"

It's always hysterical to see Disneyphiles make ridiculous statements regarding Universal not being on their radar and the like. They're totally unaware that the ONLY reason Hollywood Studios even exists is because of Universal.

LOL

This!! All of this! Every single word!

Also, the higher ups at Disney must have been sick to their stomachs when Universal got Harry Potter and they didn't.

I love Disney; staying on-site, the Deluxe experience etc. Our family has done a number of 10 day stints at Wilderness, Animal Kingdom & Beach Club .....

My kids have gotten older (now 11 & 9) and have casually coerced (in the most friendliest way one can coerce :rolleyes1) me into a Universal trip (eight night extravaganza :thumbsup2). It’s actually a surprise, but they don’t know it …. but then again they’ve probably outsmarted me into planning the surprise ….. sigh ….

My Universal expectations are low -- because since childhood I have drank the cool-aid and the pixie dust etc etc :rotfl: .... but many a person swears by Universal, so I say, why not give it a shot.

Bottom line - both are likely very good - both are likely overpriced .... but you only live once unless you're a Buddhist (no offence intended to my Buddhist friends)! :goodvibes

I get the passion - but on this board, some select few should probably give their heads a bit of a shake on both of the “so called” Universal and Disney fences – and YES they’re on both sides for those taking score at home :happytv: (just search – they’re there).

This should really be a place of exhibition, not competition. :grouphug:

Peace to both of my Universal and Disney fanatics who never fail to give me the best advice, bringing my family good value, time and time again! :hippie: :hippie:

Just my 2 cents.

Cheers,
Zebsterama

And the only reason uni/com exists is because it built down the street from WDW .....truth be told no Comcrap (borrowed) money uni would be a ghost town by now

The other difference I feel at Disney is that I am on a holiday, not just visiting a theme park. I love Universal and some of the rides and attractions are better than Disney. But they will never beat the feeling of going into Epcot just to get dinner and watch IllumiNations. Even if I stayed at a Universal resort I don't feel like I would go into US just for an evening.

Have you ever stayed at a Universal resort and just focused on the Universal parks for a few nights, not just one? Hotels and parks put together plus Express Pass, it felt WAY more like a vacation than our most recent Disney trip :)

Now you've resorted to trolling the US/IOA section of the boards?!?!? Weren't you quick to chastise those who posted on the FP+ threads that they'd decided to do US/IOA over WDW?!?! I guess the hoopla is dying down a bit on those threads and someone is bored .......:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:.

True I was bored :thumbsup2 However the theme of the thread lead me to believe I could help all you more unfortunate souls out there.

Yep, to each their own. We have 6 days left on Disney passes and I have no idea when we'll use them. My 12 year old daughter wasn't impressed by Disney and found Universal Studios/IoA to be tons more fun. And so did I! So much so that we're going back in May. I asked her if she wanted to spend a few days at Disney since it's "free" and we need to use those passes, but she said NO THANK YOU.

Well that settles it .

Well that settles it .

I wasn't trying to "settle" anything. I don't see why there needs to be a Disney vs. Universal "battle" at all. I was simply agreeing with the poster who said to each his/her own. Some people love both parks equally, some prefer Disney, some prefer Universal. I don't understand the need for folks who don't even GO to Universal to post on this board - particularly with nastiness.

Thank you so much. Before your post I thought my family and I actually enjoyed our vacation experience at Universal as much and sometimes even more than Disney.

But honestly thanks, I appreciate your posts here and get the humor of them although I think many believe you really mean them.

They've had the most technologically advanced theme park in the world since 1999. They actually built WWoHP when it was owned jointly by Blackstone and NBC.

Would you like to continue proving your ignorance?

I think this thread has run the course.

Closing it before it really gets ugly.
